Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

Beagle and Roussel are fine for what they bring. Sure, they could be replaced with cheaper players, but they'd be worse players. I mean, sure Chaput can be the 4th line center, but why? The only bad contracts (imo) are Loui, Baertschi and Luongo. That's $12 million in cap space for players that don'...

Totally bizarre, is Washington that much closer to a cup than Boston? I don't think so, but maybe Z does?

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Nobody is giving Ottawa much of a chance but I see darkhorse potential. The goaltending is an unknown with Murray but if he comes in motivated watch out. I'm still calling torontoilet and edmonton to miss the playoffs I agree, north division is looking like the toughest top-to-bottom. There's no cl...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Kucherov is a top 5 player in the league. Absolutely asinine to think Tampa cooked this up to get under the cap. ‘Hey Boss we’re going to cut up your hip so we can keep Cernak and Cirelli’. Between that and the schedule will be easier for Vancouver than any of the other Canadian teams..... two of t...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

Covid really fucked us (along with beagle contract) if not for the flat cap we’d have toffoli. Tanev I think was gone no matter what, he wasn’t gonna get term here. Meh. Without a flat cap we wouldn't have Schmidt, which would also mean Vegas would have Schmidt plus Pietro for years to come. Almost...

Re: Canucks Contracts

I don't think I have seen that series actually. My range of viewing keeps getting narrower. I'm down to hockey and the Christmas fireplace channel at the moment. I really like Frame too, it's just still pictures and short video clips of cities and countrysides from around the world. And you can gue...

Brutal stretch
Jan 28 home
Jan 30 in Winnipeg
Feb 1 in Montreal
Feb 2 Montreal
Nhl.com has that Winnipeg game on the 29th, so I believe that is the only back-to back involving travel. I think in a normal year there are 8 or so B2Bs with travel in the middle.

Between that and the schedule will be easier for Vancouver than any of the other Canadian teams..... two of the sillier things I’ve read here recently Don't think anyone said that - I said that the Canucks travel schedule will improve the most out of the Canadian teams, particularly compared to the...

Injury riddled schedule  Depth=key I love the schedule, I'd never imagined seeing such an easy travel schedule for a west coast team. Don’t mind it as a fan..... but as a player I imagine it’ll be tough I think I see your point, with the number of 3-in-4-nights, but maybe I'm just a baby of ...

Caggiula, Rutta and Sheary are the first three FA signings so far since the lull. https://www.rotoworld.com/hockey/nhl/player-news/transactions Is that it? I was listening to the TEAM today and Harman Dayal was making it sound like every good player was gone, and the Canucks were done because Aquil...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

I happen to think that the Northern Division travel will be a non-factor for the western conference teams, but will be a major factor for the babies from the East. One factor in Montreal's favour is they are a Jekyll-and-Hyde franchise - one good year, one bad year. Last year was an off-year, but th...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

I’d probably fear the Jets and Habs most. I think they would beat any of the other teams. Absolutely. The Jets have legit elite talent and are arguably the best in Canada. The Habs arent far behind them . Sorry, I'm not with you and Cherry Picker - I don't see the Habs making the playoffs. I think ...
