But sure, I can definitely see it.

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)
Well, what's the scuttlebutt on his replacement? Likely won't be someone highly respected, who the fuck would work as a patsy for Rutherford - so likely going in a "younger up and coming" direction. As some would say, a Yes (Wo)Man. Possible candidates: Internal hire Options: 1) Ryan Johnson. He ...

i'll be watching the Habs & Sens too. Tough opponents, so if either of them gets past the 1st rd. they could go far. Would like to see Oilers/Utah make it through to the 2nd as i believe that could be a entertaining series as well.

Does anyone remember where Topper or dbr's posts on draft success percentages are?
Been searching and having no luck.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26
I hope Johnson declines it and takes his chances elsewhere.....for his own sake. Imagine a GM from another team, expecting to deal with RJ, but is then told he can only talk to Rutherford? To move on from the Swedish puppet GM is pointless if the main baldy is still in charge. There is no authority ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft
I was assuming McKenna, Stenberg to be #'s 1 & 2, but debates are also putting Carels,Reid and Verhoeff in the top 5 as well. It seems like it'd be quite a gamble to move down hoping your target is still there, plus kind of a long-shot to find a trade partner. But anythings possible, and another ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft
I think one of those two wingers will end up being there at number three. Many teams will choose one of the defensemen - Reid, Carels or Verhoeff - over a winger at number two based on positional value (and maybe BPA). I won’t be surprised if Vancouver is the only team that would actually take S ...

Re: Raking Leaves with David Ayers Zamboni
Mike Gillis name being flouted around as possible GM for Toronto. Well, other than the Steamer - MG was the winningest GM in Canuck's history with a .626%. Giving him another kick at the can, and if he hires out a decent front office - say a Chris Pronger, and a Brett Peterson type... he might be ...

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)
I get the feeling nothing is going to change as far as Rutherford and Allvin being replaced.
Jets and leaves have let Trev & Chev go.
I see no reason why the Canucks would wait if they were going to fire them.
Hope i'm wrong.

yup, everything they've handled since they've got here has pretty much turned to shit.
Why should this draft be any different?
Don't understand ownerships strategy on keeping them around.

Re: 2026 NHL Draft
Looking at all the different draft rankings it just goes to show BPA varies wildly from scout to scout.
I'm hoping for forwards, but their are alot of great D in there too.
Chase Reid has risen quite a bit since WJC.

Failure to capitalise on chances was their downfall.
