Re: Post season wrap up.

I guess another question is - was it worth 'renting Hronek and (maybe) Zadorov to make a bigger push for the playoffs? Was the experience for the core worth losing some picks?

Seems strange
Maybe EP40 didn't want to sit out, and nobody was going to force him?

Funny how the right wingers here look at the chart and only see the bad trump numbers (yes, pandemic induced) - he was doing ok riding on Obama's economy for the most part. Meanwhile, just ignore the boom in jobs under Biden. :D

Re: Canucks News N Notes 23-24 Playoff Edition

Rick Tocchet said that the Canucks did not consider shutting down Elias Pettersson this season despite his knee injury.
He also mentioned that Pettersson's injury was tendinitis.

Elias Pettersson says he's been playing with a bad knee since January.
So in January, it was pretty much confirmed we would be in the playoffs, and they didn't rest him.....

Rick Tocchet has won the 2024 Jack Adams Award!

Anything else would have been robbery.

Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward

^^ Pretty much what I would like to see, but it will be tough. Do we worry about the draft this year and try to pick up a 1st or 2nd round pick, or just cruise through it? I don't think we have the disposable assets to move for a decent pick. At least management can concentrate on getting signings d...

2024 Offseason - moving forward

The "Post Season Wrap Up" seems to have run its course, so let's get focussed on "moving forward".

Save the other thread for looking back and remembering a great season.

Who stays, who goes? Who do you bring in?

Re: Post season wrap up.

Apparently Pettersson has been dealing with some kind of injury for 3 months now. Not sure how accurate this is That’s bullshit. If he was hurt 3 months ago then you fucking sit him out because you need what he’s SUPPOSED to bring come the post season. If true, yep. He wasn't doing much jn reg seas...

Re: Post season wrap up.

^ Agreed.

Last year, management made some moves late in the year to fill in the roster. Little did we know then, they were instrumental.

I look forward to what they do do this year.
