It's a start - but they'd better be careful not to wake up the vets.

Re: lever-age ... points to ponder
Missed Joe Bonamassa but after that tour he said the side trip to Spokane wasn't worth the effort and wouldn't do it again. There's been a few tours this summer that I'd have liked to see - but the route now seems to be Chicago (or Minny) to Denver - and bypassing Lincoln/Omaha altogether ...

Re: lever-age ... points to ponder
I also frequently see who's coming into town at the 800, 1,200, and 2,000 seat venues in my town. And then I will find their songs on YouTube or Spotify, listen to a few, figure out whether I'd like to go. This is a great approach. I'm about 1-1/2 hours from Lincoln (which gets very few shows I'm ...

Re: lever-age ... points to ponder
It would be interesting to know if a 'great' song by your standards, or my standards, or anyone from our 'age group' came out, would we even be exposed to it? Where would I hear it? It may show up in my streaming 'soundtrack'. I might hear it in a movie. I don't listen to radio, so that won't happen ...

Re: 2025-26: OOTS Thread
...but one would have to think that it would have been Ian’s job to pick which goalies were staying and Alvin’s job to get value, no? That's what I'm saying - Clark (likely, or should have) made the decisions, and then it was a matter of going with 3 goalies (until Demko got injured) or moving Sil ...

Re: 2025-26: OOTS Thread
To me, its not that they let him go, its that they only got a 4th for him. If that was the value, we should have kept him and run with 3 In hindsight for sure - and even at the time many were recommending this. Ian Clark is in charge of our goaltending, and we have to figure that he had a lot of ...

Re: lever-age ... points to ponder
Forget where has the time gone. Where has greatness in popular music gone? Is there such a thing as 'popular music' anymore? Growing up, we all listened to the radio CKLG, then CFOX, etc, bought what albums were available and had a common connection to most things 'popular'. I'm sure there are ...

Re: 2026 NHL Draft
We'll likely never see a team as tough as some of those we've iced, but... c'mon - we gotta have SOME players with guts. Not just the 'hard-working-garland-types' - but someone who can keep the opponents honest and drop 'em when needed. If we get at least one in this draft, it's a start. Douglas is ...
