Re: Canucks 25/26 Season Post Mortem and look ahead.

Mëds, I agreee we are not in a rush to move on from Brock. I have trouble with his +/- (career numbers), but I will say since this last TDD, he has actually won board battles, made plays and contributed. I will totally give him a pass for his first 2/3 of the season stats as he didn't have an NHL ...

Re: Canucks 25/26 Season Post Mortem and look ahead.

Wildcard thought..... Evander Kane back on a $2Mx2. Would ya? For him to do that it would mean that he actually wants to play in his hometown, and while his season has been disappointing, I think it would have been less disappointing were his cap hit half of what it is. I also think his play hasn't ...

Re: Canucks 25/26 Season Post Mortem and look ahead.

yeah.. this offseason, I want to see them move on from the two guys who hinted (or the media stirred the shit on), that being DeBrusk, and M Petey. (both were rumored to 'not have signed up for this'). If they move on from 11.6EP - and find a top 30 center in the league to replace him, fine. I agree ...

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)

I get the feeling nothing is going to change as far as Rutherford and Allvin being replaced. Jets and leaves have let Trev & Chev go. I see no reason why the Canucks would wait if they were going to fire them. Hope i'm wrong. With ownership pulling the strings, it doesnt matter who the GM and POHO ...

Re: 2025-26: OOTS Thread

I'm with Mëds [AND MCP] on this one - as tempting as it would be get another first (and whatever) - I think Hronek has more value here, giving some stability to the blue line. As long as he wants to be here, that's fine. gee.. thanks.. Nice to know my opinon dont matter to the almighty Cornster! :D ...

Re: 2025-26: OOTS Thread

Cap space does matter.....I'd say more than ever with the new rules. Hence Meaty out and Gudas in which should provide more than $1.5M in space and a reduction in term commitment. You need to have 2 or 3 vets on your blueline. Hronek is one, Gudas could be the other. Hronek should not be flipped ...

Re: 2025-26: OOTS Thread

Reuniting Gudas with Hronek shouldn't be a thing. Flipping Hronek for multiple 1st rounders is what should be happening I respectfully disagree.. a team needs a couple of veterans to help the youth work through a rebuild, or you end up a perennial bottom feeder like Buffalo was for a decade. Teams ...

He is also FA and is a good friend of Hronek's. They have talked about wanting to play together in the NHL. Would ya? Gudas? Currently our left side is Buium and the Pettersson's twain. Forbort should be gonzo to UFA, and Joseph is unremarkable. I think Gudas is a lateral move from Marcus ...

Re: 2025-26: OOTS Thread

Sign me up to the sign Gudas bandwagon, assuming it is a a reasonable FA contract signing. It will not be a reasonable contract. No UFA signing here will be reasonable for the next few years. They will all be 1-2million too much, and 1-2 years too long. When you suck and in a rebuild, nobody wants ...

Mighty brave given the nursery rhymes in Toronto
I’ll give him credit for it. Walking boot the day before, limps out for the tilt.

Did he play another shift? Of just change and put the walking boot back on?
