That's OK. Selecting an additional player or three at this year's draft is far more important than a few vets playing 3 meaningless games.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

I’m guessing some of the older guys with term & NMCs were just waiting to see if ownagement is actually committed to a full rebuild as opposed to another short term retool before they consider anything. The fact they’ve already asked Myers to waive should be a clear enough indication, so not too sur ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Tolopilo is 26 come April. Next season is the first season of “official” rebuild (this year they thought they could be a playoff team). I'm definitely looking for more of a future trade asset hopeful than a key piece of the future core, but any positive development from him is a good thing so I'll m ...

5. Recovering value. Can Chytil and Demko get healthy again to help us recoup some futures? Perhaps not likely, but another thing to keep interested in. 'Tuzzi in the miracle market! Yeah, you caught me just before I edited in the bonus comment. Yeah man, I'm looking for bonuses and miracles ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

I'm looking for which among the youngsters will amount to anything worth keeping when the new core comes into its own. No stars on the horizon unless Cootes turns a corner in his development, but I can see some depth pieces in the Hughes return in Buium and Ohgren. Rossi 's too old to be anything ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

I haven’t been to Vancouver in about 20 years. Do you all think Vancouver is as attractive place to put down roots as it was when those team friendlies were signed? I know the hockey organization has deteriorated (falling behind in many *player perk* categories and now a long string of barely i ...

Especially not after this weekend. And perhaps even further back a few years when their juniors outgolded ours.

Re: Your favourite Jim Robson call:

Too many to name. The classic 94 calls were great, but they were all televised. The best ones are the ones we couldn't see. Can't even begin to tell you the impact Jim Robson had on us growing up with him being the voice of our team. Those old enough to remember there were a bunch of years we only ...

Re: AROUND THE LEAGUE - 25-26

Give the Baldies this: they haven't done too bad in the returns for they got for shipping out players. They could've done worse for sure. Also could've done better if not for flipping the 12OA pick and/or did the wise thing and stayed away from Chytil's melon issues. All in all, I'd give them a C ...

Me too. Maybe we all need to take a sabbatical from this particular topic.

40 pages on 40 in another thread, this is exhausting. His skating was never great, that is true. But he did have a very visible burst to his step in his early years that's been completely absent the past two. Beyond the eye test, I think Drance had pertinent numbers to back this up. Which is not ...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Embarrassed the game not once but twice and we ask why HGs hate us. Took 17 years to forgive the first time...approaching same duration since then but no indication next pardon coming anytime soon, rather the opposite.

Reap, sow.

Can’t explain the pre ’94 hate tho.
