Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

RUMOUR
Seems Rangers MAY have asked Redden to sit out the season to avoid injury so they can buy him out in the summer. An injured player cannot be bough out.

I wonder if the PA will file a grievance over this if true.

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

So the Flames players have all decided to drop out of the Flames annual charity golf game citing CBA meetings in New York this weekend. The problem is that they're all not going to NY this weekend. No one on the leadership group has made a public comment and the situation is receiving a ton of bad p...

Soooo....does this mean the Flames don't have to pay him anymore?

Educate me. Did the Flames buy him out at some point? If so, then yes they still have to pay him.

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

After the game tonight Iginla was asked what his thoughts/plans for next season were. He said he has to wait to see the direction the team takes. If the team deices to do a complete or major rebuild he has to ask himself if he wants to be around for it and he then went on to say that no he didn't wa...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

As JBou was due to become a free agent, there was discussion on Central with several comparisons to what KB3 had accomplished in his healthy seasons, with some people questioning why we would need JBou when we have a better guy in KB3. The fact KB3 had lost so much time due to skate lacerations hid...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Calgary out bid Vcr for Bouwmeester so lets keep mum about that  Well, actually no Fred. Calgary traded for his rights and offered his big contract before July 1 so we never actually had a chance to bid for him and MG was not going to trade draft picks for the rights to an UFA so we were neve...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

I think this is an acknowledgement that we had a good team last year when Calpuke says we are not as good as we were last season. All they did was slag us last year well look boys and girls, look where we are. No fluke two years in a row right at the top. But then the MAG goal should have been waive...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

I think the fans at tonight's game should help all Flames. Everyone buy a Flames jersey or hat. Every time a Canuck scores throw some of the shit on the ice. Next game the Flames fans will want to retaliate. So we go into Calgary and SO the Flames and all the fans will have to leave with Canuck shit.

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Ya, and they started this shit about the Canucks being divers and whiners   . They would rather watch the Canucks lose than the Flames win. Pretty smug young'uns.

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

LOL They are relatively contrite over there today. Although some still feel they have a better team than anyone above them just bad breaks. For the most part they are now finally calling for a re-build and trading of their stars. They re also almost unanimous in calling for the final Sutter to be ca...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

I vote for miss the playoffs. Hoping to play them round one is tempting fate and we need to be careful what we wish for. I see no merit in meeting them in the playoffs, not that I am afraid of them, I just don't care enough about them to have pleasure beating them. I would rather we just play whoeve...
