Canucks Corner began as a hobby for owner Brian Wawryshyn in 1996, and has since outgrown three hosting services over that time. Of course as the site grows, so do the costs to host the site.

A site like this needs fancy bells and whistles in it's hosting package, including domain registration, adequate bandwidth, data transfer, and access to databases such as MySQL to run the message boards etc. Since 2006, due to the site's growing popularity, we have started to test the limits of our current hosting package.

We gladly pay these costs to provide you with a quality environment for you to discuss your passion for the Canucks and NHL Hockey, but we also have limits to what we can afford, and appreciate your help in covering such costs, and keeping the site free of annoying and intrusive pop up advertising.

A lot of work goes into creating a quality site for you to enjoy. If you wish to help us out with costs there is a way you can help.

Be a Canucks Corner MVP!

In 2006, we introduced the MVP Program. In this case MVP stands for Most Valuable Poster. Anyone who makes a donation to Canucks Corner will be awarded MVP status. MVP's will be eligible for pool prizes*, have a private forum for MVP members only, and will receive an MVP Icon under their message board handles to indicate they are supporters of the site.

Your MVP status never expires.

In addition, if you run a sports site similar to this one that is dedicated to quality and is updated regularly, you will be awarded MVP status for your efforts in the sports web community.
