There were a few laughing and trying to tell them the guy is a weirdo comedian.

That whole "field" is full of crackpots save one or two actual scientists willing to risk their reputations like Jeff Meldrum. I also enjoyed reading everything Grover Krantz wrote on the subject years ago as well but all these idiots have wicked away any legitimacy there may have been involving a truly fascinating subject.

I know of one fellow...he was a fisheries biologist from the Agaziz(sp) area, a close friend of my fathers and someome I had spent quite a bit of time with flyfishing the valley going back a ways. He told us about a time a large bipedal creature that came out of the trees around last light and crossed a slough by Ag while he was sitting down quietly behind a log packing up his kit. The creature waded across 6 ft deep water and it inly came up to its breast area. It crossed this piece of water in no time and silently, disappearing into the trees on the same side as my friend.

This man was a straight shooter, no bullshit. He wasnt that happy to tell that story until pressed.
