Meh. This is a clear case of Jokinen wanting a second run @ the Selke. Let's face it, nobody has ever kept Iginla off the scoresheet like good ole Jokinen..
The 'Chain of Command' is the chain I am going to beat you with until you understand I am in charge.

I don't get Sutter.. He has completely lost it, bringing back two players that left Calgary very unhappy plus are completely useless

Two useless signings. Gotta head over to Cowpuck to watch the hand-wringing.

They can bring Theo to training camp again. He's another year sober.Arbour wrote:E mail found at Flames head office:

He might even make the team and that's without the application of Clam's hypothesis. Scary stuff.Sid Dithers wrote:They can bring Theo to training camp again. He's another year sober.Arbour wrote:E mail found at Flames head office:

My only idea is that he is thinking that Tanguay rekindles the chemistry that he and iginla had a few years ago. Which could happen. I still think Tanguay is a bit too far pasted that prime that he was in just prior to his flames years. Then that Jokinen will get his second line and probably play with Hagman and whoever else. So it won't be a situation where they are expecting Iggy and the Joker.. or i guess maybe we should save that nickname for Sutter now... Aren't going to be expected to produce together.
It still seems to not make any sense what so ever.. trading him... after the fact that everyone knew about the trade already, then exchanging bad blood in the press. Buying out Kotalik who came back in the deal with Higgins and then not resigning Higgins... its like this trade never even happened.. Oh execpt they gave up a solid grinder in Prust for what amounts to worse than nothing...
The other thing i wanted to mention was, maybe the flames last year would have been okay with the production of Jokinen if he was making 3mil instead of the 5. I don't know.. this is just bizarre.. then to follow it up with signing two tough guys?
Sutter is kinda looking like he is going after Burke's team model.. only way more retarded... atleast the leaves are getting younger and more skilled and BETTER....

I thought Sutter should of been fired after years of hiring and firing coaches , now he can't fire his brother so he might as well bring back some of his former brutal free agency busts.
I think this a great couple of moves for the Flamers! It also means we won't have to worry about them competing in the 2011 playoffs.
