I went to undergraduate school with Jerry Dobrovolny. He used to be an offensive lineman with the Alouettes, before he came back to BC... He told me that in one case, two linemen met helmet-to-helmet, and unfortunately for the offensive lineman, his hand came up to his face just as the two helmets met - the blood and meat inside one of his fingers squirted out the top like so much toothpaste... Don't know if he had to have it amputated or anything...

What a f*cking tool. Seriously. He had his senior year of football left. ONE YEAR. He isn't going to be making a living playing football. That was it. Instead he gets phantom pains and loss of dexterity in his hand for the rest of his life. Talk about no life perspective. Speaking of which... the fiancee needs counselling.
