GDT: Kings @ Canucks - Nov 18/22 - 7 PM PST - SN

Post by JelloPuddingPop »

Tradition is Tradition.

Jello's Canucks: 1 - 0 - 0
Blobby's Kings: 11 - 7 - 1

First of three BIG games - as some conventional wisdom says that American Thanksgiving is a good time indicator of teams who are in, and who are out.

It starts tonight with a team that is on the rise in the LA Kings. They are battling with Vegas for top spot in the Pacific, are 7-2-1 in their last 10 with only a blip against Calgary in their last 5. They smacked Edmonton around in their last game, and Edler even tried to end McDavid's season. Chippy game - this will be a tough test.

I'm guessing Quick gets the start for LA, who is 3-5-2 against Vancouver in his last 10, with a 3.44GAA & .886 SV%.

I'm hoping Martin gets the start for VAN. As Demko has mostly just shit the bed lately.

Cue Chef's "Vilardi Adjustments" and let the Rob Blake for the Jim Gregory Award discussion begin!

Irrespective of the solid OP for this particular GDT I still blame Jello for the slow start to the season.

You think a guy would have manned up like the rest of us (some of us anyway) and stepped up a little earlier.

Maybe Podz taking a swat to the head is what was needed to galvanize this motley crew of underacheivers.

LA - a whole bunch
Canucks - not very many

Go Bruins Go.

What if we go on a run? Will the "Rat Avoidance Plan" keep you away as we fire off 9 straight JPP wins?

The kings right now are glancing over our lineup card, highlighting Tyler Minors and rubbing their scabby little hands together

...knowing my pal rats as I do the worry will be that should he watch at any point throughout this (clearly theory based, fantastical, fanatical fantasy you portray) "streak" they might lose and then he might just have fucked the whole thing up entirely.

A dilemma.

A change can be described in many ways…..

I’d say a run of 3 in a row would bring the rat a scurrying back… lol

My game and big mac avoidance has not seemed to help in any way.

Here's hoping JPP really is our box of lucky charms.

Yep. Its all my fault. And it will be more my fault if we go down tonight (which my betting odds are on).

Just can't win, I might join Rats in hiatus from the hate I'm about to get.

A tall task Hank - Kings tonight, Vegas Monday, then Colorado. I don't foresee a run upcoming.

...it would be hella-impressive though if it comes to pass.
