So I see we got a free asset! That’s a good start.

Real work will start after the Cup is settled.

Definitely looking forward to draft day!

For Lever:

UFA-to-be Lazar open to playing with Canucks

https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/curtis- ... veWrbxNYrI
It would be pretty cool. As you guys know, [I’m a] BC boy. I was that kid that grew up with Canucks colours painted in my room watching that team through all the ups and downs,
Still to this day I keep close tabs on the Canucks cause that’s the way I was raised.
Being a Vancouver Canuck would be pretty special for sure
- Curtis Lazar

Just sign him already! :D

He’d be a decent Tyler Motte replacement

Yeah, well, some of us make the effort towards rationality.

Waste of time and effort it may be.

I hate smiley face hockey players (Ben Hutton and Curtis Lazar)

Lazar plays on the penalty kill, but I am not sure all that well. He is a 26 year old 'tweener who we'd have a different perspective on were he not a first rounder. The question on players like this is whether they are worth a spot on the 50 man and possibly whether you'd offer a one way deal for league minimum and are comfortable paying that salary if he's assigned to the minors. I'm not against guys like this -- tweeners with significant NHL experience are often better deals than above-the-line 4th liner types who you thought were special but are not all that special and a team's ideal construction likely includes a few <$1M forwards in the top 14 and its not like the Canucks are bursting with ELCs.

I'd rather see Lockwood given a shot at 4th line time than add Lazar. (This is presuming we have the PK spots covered -- which will depend a bit on movement). Lockwood seemed to possess the ability to pass crisply in transition and receive crisp passes in transition, and that's something given the stone hands that have populated this teams bottom line for year and years.

Of course Motte is better than both, but its not the place to spend an extra $1.5M over replacement.

Exactly UW, need to see more Lockwood. Great draft pick by Benning. The Bonino trade still working wonders for us. #assetlongevity

The Pens have nothing left from that trade. Nada!
