A look back to the Carolina game where Pettersson was very lucky he didn't get seriously cut or lose an eye. Jan. 15th 2022.

Bruce Boudreau indicates that he'll defer to Ian Clark, but that Spencer Martin would be the club's lean for a spot start in the event that both Demko and Halak are unavailable on Friday.
"Hopefully you can find lightning in a bottle with one of the other guys, but they're not Thatcher Demko," says Bruce Boudreau of the impact of losing Demko. Notes that sine he's been the Canucks' head coach Demko has been "as good as any goaltender in the league."
"This whole border thing is quite unfair, quite frankly," says Canucks coach Bruce Boudreau, in reference to how long his players are in quarantine when north of the border. "I have a hard time understanding how COVID in the States is different from COVID in Canada."
Boudreau adds Travis Hamonic may not return until after the All-Star break
Bruce Boudreau, after practice. 9:25 min.

Oliver Ekman Larsson, after practice. 8:18 min.

Tyler Motte, after practice. 6:07 min.

https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/canucks ... -analytics
Canucks hire Rachel Doerrie to front office role in analytics.
Rob Williams, Jan 20 2022, 2:14 pm
“I’m thrilled, I’m over the moon. I don’t really think it’s sunk in yet that I’m joining the Canucks, and everything that they are becoming,” Doerrie said, who later added that she had wanted to work for the Canucks for a long time.

Nice link Micky107.

Heard a lot of nice things about Rachel. There’s a place for analytics in the game. It’s just more info. Most of us don’t understand a lot of the fancy stats and I’m not sure all of them are relevant. But more info is good info. If it can help the team improve 3 - 5 %, that’s what you look for

Yes and what if her influence leads management to make the wrong decisions?

She's that nutjob who suggested Petey really didn't have a wrist injury last season

... and that he was merely faking because he doesn't like the Canucks.

(not sure how she gleaned that from fancy stats)

Based on that alone I despise this hiring.

Interesting… I haven’t dug as deep in to this as you have and you clearly seem fired up. I shall do some research on the Rachel and anything you can provide me with i’d appreciate ol bean

Jeezus they went and hired one of the nut jobs.

There had to be a diversity hire or the identitarian leftists in the media were going to go bananas so hopefully this fills the role and they can move on.
