Muzac For Munsters

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Joey Shithead hates the Clash.

Apparently after the Commodore gig, DOA and the Clash went out on the town and had a great time but when DOA flew in from Winnipeg to open at the AreanEx, Strummer and the gang acted like rock stars and treated them like shit. I was on the floor right at the stage and there was alot of preshow chatter about shit going on backstage. When they played some Pointed Sticks over the PA, I thought a riot would start. During the encore, Strummer invited the openers out to join in for a song, DOA was a noshow and I think they'd already left.

Joey also talks about it in his book, I Shithead.

I recall a bunch of us being turned away at the door to the Luv Affair one night because we were already too drunk.

Climbed onto the roof and pissed in the vent system over the dance floor.

Early ABBA, when they were more glam rock than disco. I don’t think this is the sound you expect.

How about the Knack?
:?

(Don't) Get the Knack
Of all the Limey bands I like the Stones, Beatles, Who, Zep, etc but never got the vibe for these guys. I did like some Kinks tunes way back...

I liked Rock, Blues, some country even but not punk so much. It seemed kinda gay at time haha

You call punk gay in a post directly beneath an Abba video.

Irony.

*raises hand

Not really sure how that’s pretty hetero either. The band covers I googled are of an eclipse or have men and women on the covers.

Sounds bi at best!
