I don't want Petey to be mentally fragile like Naslund but damn son, if you ain't Peter Forsberg, you need to tone down the arrogance a notch and show a little humility this early in your career.

The team probably told him to display better body language and hide his frustrations during this current crisis in confidence.

Petey is expected to be one of our star players for the next decade. Can we give him a little respect? Nicknames like pouty are a good way of driving away star players. He deserves to be treated better by the fans (and media) that schlumps like Ericksson or Virtanen. I'm not focusing on you, Carl. More of a statement for everyone, including our mouth-breathing media types.
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

On the other hand however, players that don't want to be here because of a little heat we probably don't want on our team.

I'd prefer to have guys out there taking it as a chip on their shoulder and wanting to prove everyone wrong. Use it as extra motivation.

Remember how often the Sedin's were called "sisters" by everyone including MSM.

I agree Tsico... if fans are giving him the gears at home games or on the street. But I think fans treat him pretty well in this town and he gets more than enough respect by fans and within the organization. Everyone wants to see the old boy again, but he's got to find a way to work his way out of it.

It's ok to be critical about his performance. It's not ok to pump out undeserved criticism and hit pieces one after another... like people and media did with Benning. Now that guy deserves respect.

Stuff we post on this GDHTMB is just shits and giggles. We need to have some levity or what else is the point? Can't take it too personally in here.

AP18: Great point about the Sedins. Classic example. There are probably lots of Canuck fans that still don't give them proper respect.

Man, I knew you'd jump in on that

Like anyone and their family should be bullied online incessantly. C'mon dude, show some humanity. People can disagree with his performance, but that kind of treatment by media and trolls is garbage.

Can't recall where I saw it but I think Arizona's game against Chicago was the first time all season they held a multi-goal lead.

They lead 2-0 after the first!

Those bottom 3 are just terrible.
