Roughly 30 years ago as a young whipper snapper I worked on the electrical in the New Town Bakery on Pender off of Main st for my Chinese boss dude. A couple years ago I took my daughter in there for dim sum and God dammit if the owners wife didn't remember me like I was there a week ago. Even my name!

I think CP is just using the tried and true, Dude school of trolling. Just throw shit and something is going to stick.

Since you're standing in for Blob, CP is just filling the Chef role to keep us entertained until season opener.

...aha!

Kind of similar to what the Canucks theory is when throwing numbers up in the rafters then?

Gotcha...

....as I said....I'll never forget his first game wearing Marios #66....love it that Quinn Burke and McCammon let him do that....priceless.

He was a genuine Canuck hero that evening.

So the opening roster has been announced and no mention of Chiasson.

Good. I hope this signing never happens.

Can't wait for Brock and Motte to return. That should mean the end of Petan also.

But then again, we're talking about Green here...

sounds like his spot, if it will happen, will be in a day or 2. He is still training and practicing with the team.

I honestly haven't seen anything from Chase On to be excited about.

He offers nothing at even strength because he can't skate or check. His hands, passing or shooting is average at best. He can't play down the lineup so you are going to saddle your best players with him? This isn't McDavid & Drasaitl feeding him apples anymore.

His bread & butter is net front presence on the PP. But every time I watch him try to get involved with the setup by handling the puck... it's gone, man. The only thing he does well is go to the net and screen the goalie. Don't let him touch the puck.

If you want a vet to protect Hogs or Pods from too much pressure, is there nobody else better out there?

I'm not a huge fan of Petan, but as a placeholder, he is infinitely more useful on special teams play. At the very least, he can kill penalties.
