Benn, Pearson ain't on the list iirc, trade bait to a contender?Strangelove wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 2:34 pm Add Nate Schmidt to the NHL's COVID protocol list!
What we need is a list of who isn't on the list.
If Loui is the only one I'm going to spit.

I don't think many rentals get traded this year though.

Don't know where it went but I saw a speculation that the Canucks were looking to re-sign Pearson to a 2 year deal dirt cheap, like 1.5-1.8.
If true, I'm all for it.

and as micky alluded to, pearson might have a low-key deal in place.

D&D saying Jay Beagle might be gone for a LONG extended period of time, and question if Beagle is done fully with the NHL, nobody yet knows what he's suffering from, but it sounds serious.

If they make a deal with Pearson, can they put off “closing it” until after the expansion draft?
Otherwise they either have to expose Pearson, or someone else that they wouldn’t currently have to.
Not sure it matters as there are likely better choices than Pearson if he is exposed.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
The meat puppets are actually having a decent conversation on 650 if Vancouver should buy out Eriksson, Virtanen, Holtby and Roussel. Yes they’d gain cap space next year and could be a bit better but they’d have a bunch of dead space in the books the following year which coincidentally is the last year of Bo and JT’s contracts. To me I want the cap space for the 22/23 season. Drain the swamp. Holtby can back up Demko, Beaglet is LTIR, waive the terrible trio to the minors and promote three kids or find cheap replacements.
I think the team could sign a quality D man in 2022 UFA and be a pretty good hockey team that season.
Hampus Lindholm would be a great addition in 2022.
And Tanner can beat it if he wants a long term deal starting with a 2 or 3 million dollar price tag. Way too slow.

EVERY thread is the trade thread to Skyo!
If your happy getting 5th to 7th round picks for those guys, go ahead and trade them.
You would be lucky to find a buyer for 1 of them

You think it’s the old ‘Trent Klatt home from a road trip, pulled groin and new baby 9months later’ injury?

Could be anything. I just figure it sounds less like a leg/arm/torso injury and more disease-like or somethiing....or nothing evenMadcombinepilot wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 4:33 pmCousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 4:30 pmI wonder if it was even a hockey injury.SKYO wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 3:15 pmhopefully one for crying out loud! lolStrangelove wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 2:56 pmFine with me.SKYO wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 2:51 pmBenn, Pearson ain't on the list iirc, trade bait to a contender?Strangelove wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 2:34 pm Add Nate Schmidt to the NHL's COVID protocol list!

Nobody knows what's wrong with Jay Beagle. Last game march 10th. Was playing late into the game and nothing looked wrong with him.
We were losing and he seemed to be getting some extra time in late. Never know when a player decides to just hang em up and ponder retirement.
