I dunno Corn shared it above. This might not be the best game to start a smaller rookie for his first ever game. Its gonna have a taste of the big dirty to it i reckonCherry Picker wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 11:34 amIs that confirmed? I thought we’d see Rathbone or Breeeezebois in for him after the last game.

Baumgartner was drafted by Washington in 1992 and landed in the Canucks organization via the Moose in 2002. He spent the majority of his playing career in the Canucks organization with stints in Philly and LA (and their AHL affiliates). In a 20 year career he only cracked the NHL roster for 143 games. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 11:21 am How did Nolan Bumgartner qualify as a defensive coach i wonder...? Was he some prodigious junior or something? I remember a middling average at best jordy benn type and it seems thats the game the canucks defense are playing...
He retired from playing at the end of 2012 while the Canucks organization was affiliated with the Chicago Wolves. He became an assistant coach for the Wolves the following season and was then transplanted to Utica where he was the assistant coach until he was promoted to the Canucks with Green in 2017.

Canucks will need to score at least 4 just to get a loser point. Is Rafferty in? Would rather see Rathbone and with a heavier game, I'd like MacEwen in there too.

Nothing is confirmed for the line-up to-nite yet. It wouldn't surprise me if he alters the top 2 lines to start but hopefully he comes up with a mix that can counter what the Habs will bring.Cherry Picker wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 11:34 amIs that confirmed? Montreal fans are screaming for Myer's head on a stick. Just tells me there'll be plenty of special teams work again.

Juolevi-Myers/Schmidt
Rathbone-Benn
That would work for me under the circumstances. Benn played his best hockey prior to coming here on the right side, didn't he?

Yeah. That was kinda my point. I have no idea why he's where he is. I suspect because Benning wanted to promote Green and Green wanted to bring Nolan with him because of familiarity. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 11:50 amIts a good story and all but what the fuck system is he deploying for this defense? Brendan Gallagher said he expects the Canucks to come out hitting and play physical.
Has he ever seen them play?
We need a modern day Asa Watts to take care of Mr Anderson once he starts bouncing people around.

I’d be inclined to switch MacEwen for Hoglander for just this one game. Hoglander still fighting nerves at times. This would be a good game to sit and watch. Start Roussel, Horvat, MacEwen, Myers and Benn and goad the Habs into a brawl right off the hop. Captain vs Captain, Gallagher pummelled by Bo would do my heart good and set the correct tone.

They can leave their sticks and gloves on the bench for the first shift.
