Doyle likes his overpaid vets even more than benning does, listen to him whine about Tanev and now edler.

So whats the deal with him and defending the rush? I've read a few different articles about this being his glaring weakness....whats that all about?

He had troubles pivoting while he was injured (knee and then hip from compensating), had a tendency to get beat wide. From all accounts now that he’s playing at 100% his mobility is a lot better, didn’t have any issues at pre playoff training camp.

Who’s whining? I just educated a few folks that it wasn’t a poor contract by the Flames compared to some of the millstones on this team.

Bring it on. Juolevi might be the best Finnish defender to ever play the game and he’ll have Edler playing in Utica within a year.

Hargraves has been even handed to all managers of the team since he became a fan. You on the other hand seem to be more of a Benning fan than a fan of the team...no? You only recently joined a year or two after Elmer started. Can you comment on the Nonis years or the Quinn years? Perhaps Hairy Kneel?

Im a benning fan first and foremost ;) you know that. I did start following the team during the sedin years, not to the same extent as now though. Was also a pretty big oilers fan back in 2003-2007.

Was Shawn your favorite player? He was a good sort. Had some good battles with the nucks but more with the flames.

Lol yeah, I was posted there during that time and we used to get tickets from the military resource center. Plus they had that fun cup run with pronger banging the A channel chick. A buddy of mine was a cameraman for her and had all sorts of funny stories about it. Apparently smitty had a wrench that hung past his knees. Also followed the sens fairly close during this time, my wife went to school with good ol petey Schaefer of canuck fame, so followed them. Got to go to a few of there games when in Ottawa for work. Then jumped on board the 2011 bandwagon with the Canucks.

After reading this basically looks like I’m just a bandwagon fan, joys of being a sasky kid and not having a local team.

At least you admit it, and that's the first step. ;)

If you've held on since 2011, then you might be here to stay.
