Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Bernier assigned to AHL on conditioning stint. Leaves buying time as they are trying to trade him.
Oilers new management done with their evaluation of players and are preparing to make major changes. Believe they have the goaltending and will build around Talbot and McJesus up front. All players other than those two subject to trade, obviously not all of them.
Oilers said to be looking for defence and prospects that are NHL ready or close to it.want to make changes now as they feel with the way the division is going they can still turn it around and make the playoffs.
Price out a minimum 6 weeks.

Trade Edler to the Oil. Who takes his spot, though?

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

If you want bigger, meaner D-men, Rahimi has gotten better since his North American stint. He is now assistant captain on his SHL team and a regular presence on the national team when NHL players aren't available.SKYO wrote:HamhuisPuck wrote:Trade Edler to the Oil. Who takes his spot, though?
Albeit at the moment he is suspended for a hit to the head...

Why wouldn't we try ans sell a Higgins to the oilers. They need a veteran for their second/third line, and we need a high 2nd round pick!!

Let's face it Patrick Kane is the best player in the game right now. His IQ, patience with the puck, ability to slow the game down, to control the play, vision is something we haven't seen since Gretzky. Not saying he is Wayne but he is similar

Corrado camp said to be upset with how the leaves are handling his situation. If they don't intend to play him he wants to be waived. Could be an NHLPA grievance coming.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I've asked this before, but I still don't get it....Hockey Widow wrote:Corrado camp said to be upset with how the leaves are handling his situation. If they don't intend to play him he wants to be waived. Could be an NHLPA grievance coming.
If the Leaves do waive him, does Vancouver get first crack? And if Vancouver does have first crack, can they immediately send him to Utica without clearing waivers again?
Would Vancouver claim him? IF they can send him to Utica then they'd be stupid not to.
