Can't blame him for not containing Petey at his most Swedish-Gretzkiest!

Rewatching the Schmidt clip and he's sure one interesting personality to be introducing into the dressing room and it's going to be a lot livelier around there. All good.

Sportsnet's Dan Murphy does an outdoor interview with Iain MacIntyre and Satiar Shah about what the Canucks have done
and what they think could still possibly come next, A buyout? Virtanen? etc.

As they said, a buyout is unlikely and Canucks chose not to buy anyone out in the buyout window (now closed).

If Virtanen actually goes through arbitration (unlikely) Canucks will have another opportunity to do a buyout.

But again, as they said in the video, it is unlikely they'd choose to do so.

I like the word "unlikely"...

Ya Benning said something along the lines that the relief from a buyout is not huge and in a lot of cases extends too far, when we need the money. Just eat it for two more years if players cant be moved. Depending upon how our season goes we could end up unloading. player or two at the TDD. Not for much mind you but still.......

I still think surrendering our 3rd in 2022 was to keep all our picks intact for 2021 in case he wants to offer sheet someone.

I love that place - after Tomato closed down in Kits, SJ became my go-to for bennys. Best in town I'd say!

Oh.. and Hockey, something, something, blah blah blah, fuckin' Ericsson retire already...
