Anybody following the Province prospect write-ups? McDonough looks like an interesting player.

His development has definitely taken a major turn for the good. Dude is a late bloomer alright...some of these kids that have these gains can turn into all-stars. It happens

gonna depend on how many positions will be needed to be filled from within.
If they lose significant ufa's & rfa's there will be jobs available

I mentioned this earlier but now it seems Edmonton and Detroit have loaned nearly all of their good prospects to European league teams and we haven't done much in that regard. I'd kind of like to know what Benning's thoughts on this issue. I'm not really crazy about the likes of Dipietro and Woo wasting a year sitting.

Just don't send any of them to the Sovie Russia.

Somehow the farm boys will have to, for the most part, practice and scrimmage close to home, maybe even at home. Not a long term solution
but they wont just sit. Takes the lesser knowns and journeymen that will probably never play in the NHL much, to keep the minors operating.
Big problem. All those AHL cities generating their own income with their fans in seats. Very little TV or pay per stream revenue.
Maybe some can play in Europe that aren't already.

Yeah. It's just that Ken Holland and Steve Yzerman are two of the sharper gm's around and they got way out in front on this and now their work is mostly done on the issue. We don't know what Benning is thinking but I wouldn't mind hearing from him on this. I'm sure the teams are kicking around prospect mini tournament ideas or something but obviously Yzerman and Holland at least don't think it's enough for their top prospect's development, whatever it is.

What’s the percentage of humans that have to get COVID for humans to develop herd immunity? Anyone know?
I keep reading it's around 60%. Fauci recently said 70% in a debate with Rand Paul.

Sure it does. Every little bit helps ;)

Would be great if they could fill the bottom lineup spots internally and maximize the use of entry level deals after Beagle and Roussel etc depart.

Teams are trying to get their young European players - who are eligible- to play in their home countries. Just like we have Utanen, Tryamkin, Hollander, etc all playing at home.

You can’t sent someone with a one way contract to play anywhere else, without making eligible to play in Utica (sending them through waivers).

Who is on the team that is eligible to play overseas, who isn’t overseas??

Add to that that teams in Europe have limits to who they can sign and won't want everyone jumping ship once the AHL does reopen or for players to attend NHL camps. These players will want the ability to leave Europe once reopening in North America happens.
The only HW the Canucks need
