I've been saying this from day one. On a mediocre team, Leivo is a fine placeholder. He always looks like he's doing something offensively but rarely is. Green gives him way too many undeserved opportunities.

Moving Leivo up and Miller down makes both top lines worse imo. Baertschi is a different player now, a borderline NHLer in my eyes.

First goal in 15 games for Missing Pearson.

Finally, we score first.

It's amazing howe many glorious scoring opportunities Leivo is able to get himself into...

...and he does absolutely nothing with it.

Makes perfect sense to waive Leivo. Especially with four, maybe five forwards on the shelf. Asset management at its finest

Nice pass to Pearson by Virtanen. Unfortunately a Nashville stick got in the way

You notice at the end of every shift Bo struggles massively to get to the bench? Even after uneventful shifts

Awful rebound by Demko there.

Eriksson looks all fired up tonight.

Nashville is by far the better team this period

Yeah he’s way out of shape. Probably partying with Kassian and the boys

Besides the shootout goal, what did Leivo do? Pettersson must be frustrated with Leivo wasting chances after chances. I rather have MacEwen than Leivo.

Not many average skating teams in the NHL these days, they’re all fast

Whatever mojo we had at the start of the year we’ve lost theses last 5-6 games. We look like a totally different team.
The only HW the Canucks need

They have 4 maybe 5 regular forwards out of the lineup now. When fully healthy he’s probably on the bubble. You don’t just start turfing depth players out when guys are dropping like flies.

That said Leivo probably shouldn’t be playing with Petey and Brock.
