But 2020 is a way better draft than 2021. So missing this season would bring in another blue chip asset. That said I’m hopeful they make it this year. These kids have taken too many lumps already. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 7:29 amAh ok. So the team reeeeally needs to make it this year then which makes fucking around playing your 12th and 13th dmen in the last tune up game even more perplexing...

It would've been alot better for that defense to fix their breakout issues in the preseason. Theyre still getting hemmed in by pinches.

Greener said in his post pressed that they were evaluating players, Andy haven't really practiced systems real hard yet.
I would imagine that after they get a couple practices in, breakouts And other system shit will come around.

When blob mckenzie and bob mckenzie predict a playoff berth for the canucks, the odds look good for that happening, this is the first time since 2015? the team hasn't been predicted to be a bottom feeder.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 7:45 amBut 2020 is a way better draft than 2021. Ideally just missing the playoffs, 2020’s lottery zone is packed full of talent. We will have quality new faces heading into the 2020-21, Teyamkin comes to mind.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 7:45 amBut 2020 is a way better draft than 2021. This Sourdiff kid on the Giants is a prospect to watch, I think he’s ranked in the middle area of the first. If we are lottery picking I’d like to try and land one of D-men Drysdale or Barron

Quinton Byfield is tearing the OHL a new asshole. Maybe it is he and not Lafreniere that goes #1.

I want a team to get desperate with injuries and trade us a first this year for Tanev, sutter, demko, stretcher than we can make the playoffs and still have a first rounder.

Re: 2020 NHL Draft
That’s great and all but none of those guys is worth a 1st on their own. Stecher might fetch a 3rd. Sutter you’d have to retain a good chunk to get a mid round pick. Tanev and Demko? You could probably get a 1st for that package from a contender. But a bottom feeder wouldn’t trade a first for it. Why trade your best defensive D and your backup goalie in a year they are trying to make the playoffs.Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 3:51 pm I want a team to get desperate with injuries and trade us a first this year for Tanev, sutter, demko, stretcher than we can make the playoffs and still have a first rounder.

A late 2nd?? Yeah I got the sarcasm lol
I think he’s fine as a bottom pairing guy. But he will need a new contract at the end of the year.

But in all honesty, I wouldn't want Stecher as a 3rd pairing, any more than I'd want Hutton as a third pairing. I would rather pencil in a guy with upside, which we finally have in the pipeline, than have a guy like Stecher who's plateaued at a pretty lousy level.
Though I was pleasantly surprised by Stecher's chemistry with Hughes, so who knows.

Re: 2020 NHL Draft
If demko shows well this year, I think he’s definitely worth a first, same with Tanev. These are obviously low first round picks from a playoff team.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 4:06 pmThat’s great and all but none of those guys is worth a 1st on their own. Re: 2020 NHL Draft
they aren’t making the playoffs if they trade Tanev and/or Demko.
