He’s definitely started slow, but it’s wayyyy too soon for that. As an asside Tim Schaller is having a good first period.
Schaller's had a great season! Filling in admirably for Roussel

Ferkland will unferk himself oh brown one

Another apple for Jake. He should set a season high if he keeps it up.

At this point, I'm hoping Jake turns into a Sam Bennett type.

The truth is Jake does have bad luck around the net, at least in the NHL. He hits more goal posts or crossbars than the whole team combines. Once he puts a few in the net, he might gain the needed confidence to do more around the net.

Didn't he lose like 20lbs with that bug in the pre-season?
Having had a motherfucker of a bug that I thought was gone and now returned I sympathize. I’m down ten pounds myself. Just returned from ten out of 14 days in Kelowna and I was sick as hell. Great impression to make on a potential new boss phoning in sick right off the hop. Still think the move up that way might be a bit farther out there. Not that far though. I already hate it back here.
Wifey and I had something similar in July.

The bug that wouldn't die.

Ruined our summer plans actually.

How are ya gonna talk your kids into that move Hargraves?

Yeah that line is a little scary...

I just said that almost verbatim to my son on Saturday. :D

For some reason I just can't give up on Jake...

Playing with some pace now but still a bit sloppy. Fun to watch though!

Ferland just had his first decent shift but you can tell he’s nervous as hell out there.

Terrible ice out there, the puck is hopping all over the place.

Actually Doc it’s the wife I’ll need to convince. The kids love it up there but they have also never done a winter up there or been without their friends for more than a couple weeks. I’m glad I did it though, but in reality it’s probably five years away.

Are the zebras blind? Daley held on to Schaller's stick for more than 5 seconds and no call.

If we drafted JT Miller in the first round would the pick be considered a ‘Win’?

Is HW still in Bosnia? Just in case, it's 4 - 1 Nucks. Stretcher, Edler, Petey, Miller.

Miller is exactly what the Canucks need. Once Ferland is up to speed, the Canucks will have two good scoring lines.
