Schaller-Beagle-Motte: "That line was really good. I thought they really set the tone tonight. They just play the game really hard.
They're good together, they know where their bread is buttered. I thought that line was probably our best line tonight.

Baertschi on Horvat: "He's such a complete player. That's what I've seen playing with him and watching him. He's just become more of a complete player overall. He's got the speed, skill, playmaking ability and all that. He's a strong guy. He's a complete player to me."

Green on Rafferty: He's got an offensive knack you look for out of a defenseman. He's going to make some mistakes but he's a guy we could see some vast improvements from this season.

I have to agree with Greener re: Schaller-Beagle-Motte. They were really, really good. Doing exactly what a 4th line should. I guess they were technically the 3rd line in this game.

You know who was also very good? Little Things Loui. Good in all zones even strength and good on the PK. Did all the little things well. Looks to be regaining some of his offensive chops in these preseason games.

And Miller has been showing his quality. Competes hard and is pretty slick offensively. Really good playmaker. 3 apples in 2 games.

Actually, almost everyone played well tonight. Can't wait to see the real team together in the final preseason games.

Gaudette is showing better each game. Making a case for himself to start on the big team.
Horvat is simply a damn good hockey player. Who wouldn't want to play on a line with him? That pass to Baer was a beauty.
Miller getting more comfortable all the time.
Markstrom doesn't seem to need any WD-40, looks in great shape. Moving well.
Does Rafferty have a better shot than Stecher?
Do have a defense complaint; Both Tanev and Benn blocked shots by turning the inside of their knee to the shot. STOP THAT.
It's a preseason game. Neither of you are headed to Utica. Damnit guys...

Greener just loves his lunchbucket players.Beags, Motts, Schalls. But we know once the season gets grinding how those 3 will impact the game, not so much Beager and Motter but Schaller will end up stinking. Greener loves Schaller, a roll up his sleeves get in there kinda guy

Holland has to be patient and ride it out. The team has finally made two decent draft picks in a row with Bouchard and Broberg. The Oil should be loading on drafting goalies and more D-men
