Consider two years in KHL, then how long to adjust to NHL, (style), ice size and speed.

And why has Doc disappeared. I need you Doc. I’m having a panic attack.
I expect this forum to be swamped over the next 10 hours so I have something to read when I wake up. In Riga today but an early morning and off to Lithuania. My bus has wifi so if I can I’ll catch up. Maybe I’ll feel better in the morning.

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver
I’m liking their 40th pick. Another promising Swede.
And
Another Canucks trade: they were set to select in the fourth round at 102, but traded the pick to Buffalo for picks 122 and 175. There’s little pick value difference at this point so this is just a chance to add another prospect. In the shade of the price for JT Miller, this is a sharp move.
So they get a pick back for the 3rd they shipped out.
And they are apparently closing in on a trade for a Dman.

I expect Blob to be comatose for weeks after today. So Benning has until then to unveil the master plan. If it’s as dismal as this though he will have the floor for a while.....and rightfully so.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 12:18 pm Blob is going to be more insufferable thaTuna

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver
Well, I'll give this to JB... he just improved our only 'strength' on this team! Nothing like adding another middle 6 winger!
In reality, while a bit of an overpayment when looked at as a single transaction, I will wait to see what the big picture view Looks like after all the moves take place before I pass judgement.
But this pick up tells me that we are shopping Erickson, Sutter, Grandlund and Spooner.
We get rid of all 4 of those guys, with decent return, and I'll be happy.
Need a Top 4 defenceman and picks coming back.

I like this trade, immediate impact on top 6, 4 more years at a cost controlled contract, big 200 ft player, ntc now voided, we keep the first for next year if we miss the playoffs (huge deal with how deep the draft is). I don’t get the freak out, Miller is a legit player

Not happy giving up a first. JT Miller better be really good.
Next year should be an awesome draft, so lottery protection was important.

That's what Gaudette is! But Miller is certainly a passable center, he was a legit 2nd line center on the Rangers, but couldn't supplant point and stamkos in Tampa.
Actually I feel a little better, seeing that JT was a 60-point 2C in NYR, then still put up almost 50 points in Tampa on the wing with 14 min/game.

He is a player. Its not that...its that a rebuilding team should hang onto 1st rounders especially when your gms greatest attribute is judging amateur talent.Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 12:31 pm I like this trade, immediate impact on top 6, 4 more years at a cost controlled contract, big 200 ft player, ntc now voided, we keep the first for next year if we miss the playoffs (huge deal with how deep the draft is). At least they are trying to address one of their two empty spots - left wing. Now they should take a flyer on some right shooting defensemen soon, if there are any decent ones left?
