We're going to love this guy once he comes over... but I'm still kind of in shock.

"Drafting Podkolzin means being patient — the winger is signed for two more years with SKA and the earliest he can join the NHL will be the 2021-22 season — but the wait will be worth it if it means adding the final touch to a rebuild in the form of a fierce offensive talent."

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver
I would have been happy with Victor Soderstrom. I think he's going to turn out to be a very good all-around defender who can put up 40-50 points.
Hoping we can negotiate with Podkolzin's team to knock one year off so he can come over after next season.

Its never who we think I've noticed. Have to put faith in the mans eye for young talent. Its proven to be astute.
Always worry when its the ruskies but it looks like we benefit from his khl contract

Trading for a super D, waiting 2 years, two more drafts ... rebuild done.

I liked Burke’s comments about the Canucks “sneaky rebuild” and comparing it to Detroit’s
