“Nobody offer sheets anyone.....period” - Blob

Gold Jerry! Especially considering that 3 of them happened in his own backyard - Ohlund, Kesler snd his Boi Bernier not to mention his Boi Gillis offer sheeting - Backes.

Hey wasn’t it Weisbrod who offer sheeted OReilly?

C’mon Blob what’s yer deal? “Nobody offer sheets anyone....period!” Gold Jerry!

Some GM out there, most likely Lamouriello, is gunning to fuck up the Leaves Cap situation for the next Decade. Stan Bowman in Chicago says “welcome to my world Dubas”. Doug Wilson in San Jose (he offer sheeted Hjalmarsson to fuck up Stan Bowman) says to Lou in NYI “Do it!!!”
There have been two offer sheets in six years. They were both matched

Two signed/accepted offersheets... but who knows how many offersheets were offered.

Who knows? Who cares? If the offer sheets were lucrative enough and not coming from a cesspool city like the Peg or Jersey I’m sure the players would accept them just to leverage their own team if nothing else.

Ultimately it’s a tool that hasn’t been used much at all. I can’t see that changing

How drunk are you?

If they use them as leverage, that would mean they haven't "accepted them".

And you keep concluding "Ultimately it’s a tool that hasn’t been used much at all".

UMMMMM the point was NO. ONE. KNOWS. how many offer-sheets are offered.

Only signed/accepted offersheets become public knowledge.

You keep telling us exactly how many offersheets have been offered but NO. ONE. KNOWS.

Matthews/Marner will likely be offersheeted and they likely won't accept

... but you can bet your sweet bippy they will use them as leverage.

This will screw your Leaves over, merry Christmas, don't drink and drive...

It's ridiculous to claim there could have been countless and the media did not report it. Come on...

Who the fuck cares about “they matched” the whole points of the process is to fuck up your competitors payroll. The leaves are sitting ducks with two massive contracts coming up first with Marner, 2nd with Matthews, and this with already having to dole out a huge franchise contract to Tavares and a big one to Nylander.

They have Reilly at a discount - $5 million per year but they’ll have to cross that UFA bridge 2 years after giving Matthews his McDavid contract

If you need an example of why and how a competing team would and will love to screw with the leaves cap look no further than what the Sharks did to the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks had just won the Stanley Cup a month prior, just forced to let go of 7 players to stay under the cap - including Byfuglien, Ladd and Versteeg. Had just beaten their rivals the Sharks in the Western Conderence Finals so what do the Sharks do to the Hawks vulnerable cap situation? They offer sheet Hjalmarsson, knowing the Hawks just squeaked a million under the cap letting go of 7 players but now have to sign Hjalmarsson and Niemeyer. Trust me, the vultures will be circling the leaves cap situation the same way. Nobody feels sorry for the leaves other than TSN. The vultures win either way, match or no match. Love it!!!

The media doesn't hear about offersheets that go unsigned.

That is why we don't know how many have been offered.

Tuna sounds stress. Take a hanky to that forehead, Big Tina and do the dab. I can see the beads of sweat from here

Only the ones that were signed/accepted.

Or perhaps you can list some not-signed/accepted ones that were reported? :mex:

I want to hear Tuna's take on Sweet Lou, Martin and Komarov.

Willy Kneelander is now pointless in 8 games.

Yeeeeesss... I think the Islanders proved a point tonight.

And it is becoming more and more evident that to beat the Leaves all you have to do is play them physically.

It's very physical in the playoffs.

Funny, not a peep from Tuna-melt. Must be busy working out some logical contortions to explain this loss away and still justify how this season’s outcome will be any better than last season’s.

When the going gets rough, see what happens?
