Are those 2 the benchmark for playoff suckitude now or something? Or is this a subconscious attempt to validate benning picking virtanen thus making him a better manager than gillis?
Love how the Dude doesn't even have to mention EXGMMG anymore to get a rise out of folks.

Av benched him in the Worlds yesterday. Didn't hear his name in the third at all.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 9:30 pm I remember thinking Stetcher and Trymankin made a good pairing. Just saying.

Wait weren't you the guy that was absolutely choked that he started his career in Utica?micky107 wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 1:23 amAv benched him in the Worlds yesterday. Re: 2018-2019 Playoffs. Round three
I don't think so, my prediction is maybe 1 UFA signed but we will go with the same D as the team finished with last season. Tanev will be injured by game 15ish and Edler by 30 - 40. Stecher is not the issue on this team.Uncle dans leg wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 8:45 pmStetcher is the obvious glaring deficiency on defense and benning has targeted the position accordingly. I'd guess his seat in the dressing room in one of at least 2 that will have new asses in them by octoberHockey Widow wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 8:01 pmYou don’t get rid of Stetcher until you have other RHD to step in. Now both Hughes and Trymankin can play the right side but it’s not the way Benning or Green like to roll.Uncle dans leg wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 6:37 pmIsnt hughes 5'10 180? But also you need that sprinkle of the smaller but super skilled players to help the big heavy players, healthy balance.
I think Benning needs to be mindful of how many smurfs we already have.
Stetcher - 5ft 9 170
Hughes - 5ft 8 160
Olaf- 6ft 3 170
Soderstrom- 5ft 11 170
Woo- 6ft 200
Tryamkin- 6ft8 220
I think stetcher gets the boot fairly soon. QH is a far better small/skilled dman and teams cant roll with more than 1 very often and hope to win when it counts

He's playing like an airhead at the IIHF. No clue why.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 2:30 amWait weren't you the guy that was absolutely choked that he started his career in Utica?micky107 wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 1:23 amAv benched him in the Worlds yesterday. I think we watched a different game. Watched the IIHF live stream with the TSN crew and I saw him out in the 3rd. He just didn't go out when AV shortened his bench late looking to even it up. Went with the likes of Nurse and Theodore and Severson.micky107 wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 1:23 amAv benched him in the Worlds yesterday. By all accounts, Stetcher has acquitted himself well and has played as solidly as anybody on that blueline.
