Haha! Love it!

Talent loses in the first round again. Gritty playoff hockey baby!

The league gifts LV a good team right out of the gate. They so deserve this.

Will LV become like Arizona or Florida once the sheen wears off?

Good for SJ - I hate Vegas, the City and the NHL hockey team.

Colorado has a punchers chance against the Sharks.

Vegas got boned. Such a fun team to watch, they play with great pace. They are going to be a force in the Pacific for a few years.

The young, speedy Avs should easily KTFO the old, slow Sharks. But the way these playoffs have gone, you really can't be too sure.

Did anyone see if Eastvander chirped 5-minute Reaves during the handshakes?

Definitely NOT a major. That was a crosscheck at worst and Joe fell sideways into another player.

Refs just decided the outcome of yet another game. When are they going to realize that calls like that need to be reviewed or challengeable in important games.

If that had been called properly SJ scores 1 goal and PP is done. There should be recourse where the owner of a team like LV now gets to sue the league for potential lost playoff revenues because a league 4 employees just screwed up badly!

Yikes...great game to watch, but probably never should have happened. Sharks didn’t have much going on until that ridiculous major. Seriously, there probably isn’t even (usually) a minor on that play without the tangled-up stuff with Pavelski. If my 10-yr-old wasn’t such a big Fleury/Vegas fan I wouldn’t really care... but, he is...and his team got burned by the same ol’ NHL ref crap.

I think my Canuck-luck leaked into his team.

I’m leaning towards the off-ice official having the jurisdiction to alert the on-ice crews of various mistakes/omissions. Don’t add extra challenges and sure as hell don’t let Toronto look at more stuff. Just let the extra ref alert the on-ice ref by headset if he needs help or more info. See rugby. It works quite well in that sport.

Definitely. I suggested something to this effect before. It needs to happen. A major penalty in a series deciding game should only be called if there’s no questions? If the refs and linesmen have to conference then it’s not ok to simply hand it out.

In this situation say have a setup where Eakins goes to the box for 5 min but Toronto is immediately reviewing. They determine that it’s NOT a major and call down to the box. The penalty clock is adjusted and the refs notified at the next stoppage in play. No delay for the viewers or the players.
