It appears that JB may have actually done the fleecing on the Pearson trade rather than being fleeced.
If Pearson can keep this up, we have 4 legit top six forwards.

Green has Rafferty and Hughes out there together. They looked good together.
The only HW the Canucks need

Gerry is looking like a pretty good signing. Imagine if he wasn't a cyclops.
Do we really need to sign Schenn? I say we only need one of Schenn or Biega as an AHL call-up.

Did you see Schenn in to protect Petey? Definitely think they should bring him back. The guy has done an excellent job of watching over the young guys (much better than Guddy did and at a much cheaper price).

They absolutely need a few players with some spine. It's fine to build a fast/skilled team. But we won't survive a playoff series vs. Vegas or Winnipeg without some grit.DonCherry4PM wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 3:07 pmDid you see Schenn in to protect Petey? Get that contract value down.
As for Leivo, it was good asset management to snag him from the Leaves, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him jetissoned for another pick.

That was kind of my point. I didn't see him protect Petey or anyone the last game (or maybe it was the game before).DonCherry4PM wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 3:07 pmDid you see Schenn in to protect Petey? Either way, both Schenn and Biega should be our 7/8th defenseman (they better be if we're serious about improvement) and that means neither should be in the lineup that often to protect anyone.
Anyway, there is no point in having both. One or the other.

Boeser has been really confident with his stickhandling.

He has been in there a lot more of the time than not. He was literally just protecting Petey earlier this game and has been watching out for the young guys the majority of his time here. His body of work in that department has been great.Hank wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 3:12 pmThat was kind of my point. Apparently we have been watching different games or focussing on different things.
