Markstrom to start DUH

Edler still out but working out and not experiencing any symptoms.

Baertschi on IR

Demko day to day

Green coy on whether or not Brisbois and or ZeeMac get into the game simply saying he will decide after the morning skate.

Can't see him playing them both right away. Points too important to have two green guys play their first game especially against the SJS. Might be a good game for ZeeMac given his size.

One thing, we have to play a lot better than we did against Calgary if we want points. SJS has owned us for awhile now. Good game for the Alien to have another 5 pointer.

Way to get after it early Wids.....keep the streak alive will ya? :D

I expect tonight to be an even bigger challenge than Calgary was.....we always seem to have trouble getting up for San Jose.

Markstrom will need to be channeling his inner Lundqvist-Prime and again.

Note on Marky that I've noticed the past while, when the puck goes behind the net and he drops butterfly the guy is staying upright on his knees and he has a skate blade on either post while keeping the 5-hole closed and the entire bottom of the net is just sealed off. It's a thing of beauty and the only stuff we're seeing threaten from Gretzky's Office is random flukes like the one in Washington where the puck goes up and over. The only weakness to it is that if the opposing puck carrier manages to get a pass into the slot Markstrom can't get up, out, and challenge, as quickly as a goalie can who is on one knee and doing the side-to-side lean/lunge. But considering how many years we had to watch Luongo make stellar saves all over the place but get beat by that cheese ball wrap around crap.....I'll take it.

Good news all around - now hopefully they'll not rely on Marky to steal THIS game as well.

Still don't know the lines but Green just spoke quickly on 650am and said MacEwen will start with Bo Horvat !!!!!!!!!!!!!
He alsi said he liked Boeser and Stecher on the points on the first unit PP and will go with that again to-nite.

Goldynation don't panic. Believe Brandon Sutter is a little banged up and may not be able to suit up tonight. #canucks

Is it just me or is it exciting every time a rookie starts?

You gotta think that Green is going to slot Granny in the foundational spot.
