Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

So I’m the same guy that had a few thousand posts at Central, 10 K here, another 1k as a cariuos cast of characters at hfboards till they booted me....Karl Childers, Doyle Hargreaves etc. The odd turn at Bountiful....

You think I have time for another 30 K posts at the sewer of hfboards?

Yeah no

Besides I enjoy playing a heel. MS is just a whiny bitch

Chara, the 2006 draft, the 03 draft , Canucks injuries and the officials gifted Boston a cup in that order
Ass one would expect, in Blob MckenSie's twisted mind Bruin's Assistant GM Jim Benning had absolutely nothing to do with it!
Chara, Bergeron, Lucic, Marchand and Thomas preceded him
I heard you the first time.

UK was wondering how much the genius had to do with the Cup win in Boston.

Your response paraphrased: "Nothing."

I didn’t say he had nothing to do with it. I just pointed out that the heavy lifting was done before he was in the front office sitting on Chiarelli’s knee

So why did Burke and Nonis get so little respect from Canuck "fans" when they did all the heavy lifting?

They did ? I think people knew who laid down the foundation of those teams. Wind it back a bit further and my old buddy Mike Keenan should get some props

Yeah, they did.

Keenan should get some props for his typical slash and burn tactics. That was the only way to really move on from the Quinn era.

His moves started the initial success for the best era of franchise history, but the WCE were already gone or about to be when Burke and Nonis' CORE were being built and ended up even more successful.

They got Crawford and then AV, the most successful coaching staffs. The much maligned scouting staff they assembled is still being employed today. That's laying the foundation... the same foundation that Gillis was lucky enough to inherit for those amazing years when the CORE hit their prime.

Funny how "fans" will disparage the work to bring in the most successful CORE in franchise history and give the credit to GMMG, but then turn around and say how GMJB had absolutely nothing to do with Boston's success.

LOL, spent an hour yesterday with the snow blower clearing the driveway. 5,000+sqft of asphalt 4" deep in white stuff.

How do you folks do that 4 months of constant drizzle interrupted by downpours?

Tomorrow I gotta take the kid to Mt Vernon for the weekend. Steven's Pass was calling for chains this morning but is clearing today in that rain you're getting.

JB advocated the trading of Seguin as well. That move set their franchise back big time.

Advocating, guilty by association, t’was not Jimbro’s decision to make as we all know the hierarchy there at the time, it’s not rocket science - trading Sequin goes bigger than a assistant GM at the time, “hey Cam, hey Peter I traded Seguin to Dallas”. In defence of Boston - Seguin was party central in 2011-2012 to the point of where his teammates were having to baby sit him, keeping him in check, looked like he was a bad egg in the making but hats off to Seguin for straightening himself out in Dallas, the trade woke him up
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

I was also inferring that Benning has done better with less than chiarelli has Edmonton.
