I wonder what some posters will do if Elmer gets the boot at the end of the year. It’s jot looking promising for him at the moment. I think if he was getting extended that it likely would have been done by now. I look forward to the back pedalling and spin.Strangelove wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2018 6:54 pmJC, you must forgive him, he's discomblobulated due to the rebuild....Jovocop wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2018 6:35 pmNic is a filler until Sutter and Horvat are back. I love how you add so little of your own comments but ALWAYS feel the need to critique others. Life not brining ya happiness bro?

Or perhaps they have agreed to a long-term extension and one doesn't announce those during massive slumps?Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2018 7:06 pm I wonder what some posters will do if Elmer gets the boot at the end of the year. Lol yes teams always delay re upping mongoloids who drove the team into the toilet during an epic slump. Gotta see if they can snap out of it first I guess.Strangelove wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2018 7:18 pmOr perhaps they have agreed to a long-term extension and one doesn't announce those during massive slumps?Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2018 7:06 pm I wonder what some posters will do if Elmer gets the boot at the end of the year. PR 101 - Announce the extension at a time when you're not in a major slump.
And btw just because YOU can't handle a rebuild... doesn't mean the owners can't.
You are in for a world of pain if you consider this long-term extension to be "reupping a mongloid"
And you know what... I'm glad!

Actually, The Finnish language is remarkably consistent in always stressing the first syllable on any word.
Thus it really should be VIR-ta-nen.
Just thought you might want to know.

You're both right. Traditional pronunciation would be as Per notes, but I believe that Jake's family has "north-americanized(?)" the way they say their name to place the emphasis on the TAN. Similar examples of this are gaw-DET (Gaudette), and the amazingly contorted GOO-dro (Gaudreau).
