Was thinking before the game that the wings probably had this one penciled in for a payback considering the embarrassment they felt in Detroit last week and the Canucks were probably feeling a little too good about themselves after the Pittsburgh win.
A little more emotion in the first half of the game might have helped.
How does Jake make a better pass than that? Oh well.
Now it gets tough.
Cow Town tomorrow at 6.
Can’t really put this one on Hutton. As bad as he’s been this year so far, he battled off the draw, Tatar took him down with a suspiciously placed stick and then proceeded to score on an odd man rush while Hutton scrambled back up to back check.
The point woulda been nice, but even the loser’s tally was undeserved in this one.
From the drop of the puck Hutton was a disaster. When Edler or Stecher come back he's the one that needs to sit not Biega, not Pouliot. That being said our D at whole needs help, Gudbranson and Del Zotto and Tanev have been fine. The Wings obviously exposed that weakness with their constant wins on puck battles and puck possession in our zone.
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau
At some point, if Hutton is still not producing points, you would think he would be the odd man out. But Edler only has one year left after this and no guarantee Juolevi will be ready next year.
