Like big Bert use to do ;)
Until they changed the definition of interference for him. :?
Yeah, if you look at the initial stages of that, it wasn't going to be any worse than a lot of what we see lately.
There was just way too much lead-up and it was a bomb waiting to go off and it did after Bert knocked him to the ice from behind. I don't think he was injured at that point.
Lots of people to blame but I've been saying ever since it happened, (never here), that a big part of it was Naslund's fault. He gave that perfectly politically correct interview after the game in Denver when Moore gave him a cheap shot.
If only he'd vented and said he was mad and that it was a cheap shot and blamed Moore, Granato and the ref. Even if it meant a warning from the league.
But that wasn't his way, too laid back.
Very few have ever agreed with me on that.
Umm.. I was talking about Bert giving that little push off the defenders back to create space in front of the net (and getting called for interference)

We had a great candidate for a 'disrupter' in front of the net, but he went back to Russia.

Maybe if we had tried him in that role, he might have had more interest in staying?

Thank Barry Trotz, that hunchback troll living under a bridge.

Newell Brown licking his chops at his options for powerplay #1, heck even #2. (re: likes having two right shots on the powerplay, but also mixing and matching to throw teams off from their pre-scouting)

Sedins, Eriksson, Gagner, Boeser, Stecher, MDZ, Granlund, Baertschi, Horvat, Hutton.

Boeser (RS)
Sedins
Gagner (RS) - MDZ

Eriksson
Baertschi - Horvat
Hutton - Stecher (RS)

Or throw Boeser back to his young buds Bart-Bo.
Eriksson with his Sedin bros.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

^ I'm hoping MDZ sees a lot of PP time SKYO!

The last time he was on the #1 PP was in 11-12 and 12-13 with the Rags (he put up great numbers).

(last few years with the Flyers he was seeing far less minutes on the #2 PP)

I'm starting to wonder if MDZ's arrival might signal the trading of Hutton?

Newell Brown is more like ..... any retard can bump the pp from 30 to 25. I doubt he's licking his lips Skyo, more likely he's flexible and can puff his own pipe for gratification. A couple average players get signed and Canucks nation does cartwheels lol

Guess it depends on what they attribute is crappy second year to.
If they think it was terrible coaching, he'll get his chance like everyone in the pre-season.
If not, he may well not be here then... :?:

All I want to see is Hughes on the point, Pettersson centering the middle with Boeser in his office to blast in the one timers.

Sprinkle in some Horvat, Dahlen, Virtanen, Goldy, Eriksson etc as seen fit.

I can imagine a 1-2-2 formation with Hughes at the blue line, EP and Boeser at the half-boards/circles, with Virtanen and Horvat working low either side. Hughes can QB from high, EP and Boeser can launch one-timers from the circles with Virtanen and Horvat running screens and cleaning up garbage or getting the close-in shots.
Love the Sport. Love the Team.

Hate the League.

Need a good faceoff man at center. Is Petterson got that skill ? Maybe add somè muscle ( Tom Wilson is UFA ) ? To work in ffront of the net?
