Poor old Hunter ShrunkCarrot won't amount to a hill of beans in this league

So Granlund has actually looked pretty good offensively this preseason. That powerplay was pretty decent with him, Bo and Bearcheese.
Nobody is mentioning this but not only is this regime's drafting better, so is its development. Maybe JB is Verbal Kint/Keyser Soze.

Uncle Jim won both trades with the flames.
Less Canucks embarrassment please.

I don't know, but doesn't it seem King Loui is a pretty good fit with the twins?

I'm liking Granlund more and more
Burrows is a comedy of errors. If he starts the season it's a travesty.
Granlund all preseason has shown a wicked pass and playmaking ability, hope he keeps it up.
Eriksson playing like he played here with the Sedins since the Sedins started in Vancouver, fits like a glove.
OK OK Larsen playing better, Stecher still better so fcuk-u, I say bring em both aboard the Canuck Express, skill over brawn.
Sutter looks like the Sutter of first 16 games of 2015.
Gudbranson playing way better with Hutton.
Skille had a lot of scoring chances.
Virtanen....idk, would like to see him play better next game.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Ya, WD knock on Virtanen is that he isn't playing a heavy enough game. To stick with this team he has to bring the body every shift, at least that's the expectation. He was gifted a spot last year because they didn't want him back with the Hitmen. He won't be gifted a spot this year. I like the potential of Jake but I still think he can benefit from playing top six in Utica and developing into that power forward they expect, if he can. I won't be broken up either way but if he stays he is at risk of being WD's whipping boy. But still, I like him better than Etem.
Didn't catch the game but it sounds like the triplets had a good game.
How was Larsen?

Kept my eye on Larsen for the parts of the game I did watch and was unimpressed. Not physical at all and gets knocked off the puck too easily. I say pass.

Larsen played better, jumped up into the play more, trying to help create scoring chances.Hockey Widow wrote: How was Larsen?
He's not as fancy or creative as Stecher with the puck, but can see some veteran safe play with him, but he got knocked down easily, got a penalty.
Way more upside and skill with Troy.

Can see Sutter snipe a shorthanded goal.
The Baertschi to Granlund to ->Virtanen goal, plus more Granlund Adam Oates style passes.
Sedins/Eriksson tre konor.

Those highlights are almost unwatchable with those Fing commercials from hotels.com. Every highlight preceded by a commercial, the same one to boot. I hate the NHL and what it's done, or should I say Rogers.

Just a guess but Jake is carrying too much weight (probably been told to).Hockey Widow wrote:Ya, WD knock on Virtanen is that he isn't playing a heavy enough game. Not always good advice. Should drop 6 or 8 pounds.

Larsen seems to have a lot of fans around town, (quite the rock star look). He would be my odd man out. Would never, never choose him over Stecher.SKYO wrote:Larsen played better, jumped up into the play more, trying to help create scoring chances.Hockey Widow wrote: How was Larsen?

Guess WD had to go all out for the win.
I wonder what Tanev's ice time was, 30 freakin minutes? Why?
Edler right behind him.
B-squad for Calgary. Don't think the Sedin on the point for the PP is something to move forward with.

Because it's the second last preseason game. Gotta get up to game shape. I think other than Stetcher they are pretty sure who stays and who goes. Expect to see one or both of Tanev out for the last game. On the other hand, by a quirk in the schedule, we have a week off between our last preseason game and season opening.
Or maybe they are showcasing Tanev

WD was obsessed to win this game against Calgarys farm team, good on ya Willie, your job is safe for now.
