Canada - not sure what this team is supposed to be?
No skaters, no passers, no size.
The PP is ridiculously bad, just shot the fracking puck, both goalies are giving up huge rebounds.
Jake - not impressed at all with him

Maybe Sweden should expect Finland in the semi final.

The Finns look really good this year. It's super wide open from what I've seen.Per wrote:Yeah, I see what you mean...Reefer2 wrote:Canada - not sure what this team is supposed to be?

Re: World Juniors 2016
Anything can happen in the single-elimination, but we've seen nothing from Canada to suggest they are capable of playing a full-60 or are even trending upwards. It looks like they're still playing exhibition games trying to figure things out and everyone else is gearing up for the medal round.Rumsfeld wrote: The Finns look really good this year. A small, perimeter team with questionable defence and no game-breaking forwards.

I don't see you congratulating Royaldude every time the Oilers win.SKYO wrote:ha chillyo, thats per's team.

Yeah, I'm not sure what he meant there. All I saw was poor excuses and empty threats, but it's probably because of my poor grasp of English.Cornuck wrote:I don't see any "ifs or buts" in that statement.Rumsfeld wrote:If NHL teams yada yada yada
Entertaining game though!

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Poor excuses? I know you don't understand how the NHL works, but Ekblad and fucking McDavid etc. would be eligible for this tournament. What do you think happens then?Per wrote:Yeah, I'm not sure what he meant there. Your team is a pack of diving pansies like usual. Love to see them talk shit between whistles in a real league. Euro refs are biased as fuck.

Re: World Juniors 2016
I don't know, I guess, maybe your team would be more competitive and you could compete with us and the US? Maybe even beat the Swiss in regulation? We often get the odd player stuck in your system as well. For some reason both Kempe and Nylander were released for the tournament this time, but fifteen minutes into the first game Nylander took a hit to the head by a Swiss headhunter and hasn't played since. Imagine if we had had our best player available for this game, how much better we would have been.....Rumsfeld wrote:but Ekblad and fucking McDavid etc. would be eligible for this tournament. Sigh. The chicken Swede myth lives on. Holmström leaves the ice to get his kip stitched back together, then goes out and plays again. Grundström gets levelled and gets his bell rung in centre ice (good hit though, not illegal, and no call), grins, bears it, and in his next shift hits a Canadian player into the boards. There were tenmonors on Canadian players, 7 on Swedish. The refs were picky, I give you that, but I don't think the calls were lopsided. They matched the game pretty well.Rumsfeld wrote:Your team is a pack of diving pansies like usual. Love to see them talk shit between whistles in a real league. Euro refs are biased as fuck.

Re: World Juniors 2016
Yeah, those Swiss bullies. How terrifying, lol.
If Canadian players didn't make the NHL at such a young age, our team would be an unstoppable juggernaut every year. Does 2005 ring a bell?
Luckily for Sweden, your prospects aren't good enough or tough enough to crack the NHL at such a young age, so you get all your best kids on your junior teams. Hooray for you.
The fact remains, with the exception of one avenged Olympic win on big ice, you're still absolutely outclassed Canada in best-on-best play. Every time. At every level.
