Pretty much tells you what I think of Rodin and our Prospect depth don't it? Here's a hint - it's fucking lame. But carry on and keep dreaming of Rodin making the grade cause in the real world it won't happen. Long term, Sauve there is still a slim chance that Sauve could make it, the guy was on his death bed, at least give him that will ya?Aaronp18 wrote:You mean his play after he was demoted to the ECHL?RoyalDude wrote:Rodin is undeserving of that ranking. With Suave's play of late he should be in his spot instead.
But Rodin is still in the AHL.
Maybe we should just call you BoxscoreDude.

“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Where did I say I thought Rodin would "make the grade"?RoyalDude wrote: But carry on and keep dreaming of Rodin making the grade cause in the real world it won't happen. I just don't think you can rank the potential of a prospect in the ECHL higher than someone in the AHL especially if they are the same age.
And when was Sauve on his death bed?

Gillis came out recently and revealed that Suave's prognosis from getting hit by the car was bad to the point of being life threatening at one point.Aaronp18 wrote:Where did I say I thought Rodin would "make the grade"?RoyalDude wrote: But carry on and keep dreaming of Rodin making the grade cause in the real world it won't happen. Do you have any source for this, I'd like to read it.RoyalDude wrote: Gillis came out recently and revealed that Suave's prognosis from getting hit by the car was bad to the point of being life threatening at one point.
I only recall him suffering from a concussion and other minor issues, and while that is a serious injury, I don't recall ever hearing that accident being a life threatening event.

Yann Sauve hopes rehab stint with Kalamazoo Wings leads back to NHL
echl stats
Following a concussion which, Sauve suffered when he was struck by a car during training camp in the fall of 2010,
the former Saint John Sea Dog spent time in three professional leagues during the 2010-11 season (the ECHL, AHL and a three game NHL stint). That has to be difficult, and certainly it's exceedingly rare....In 2011-12, Sauve played full-time in Chicago
(Curiousity got to me)

Thanks SC - why didn't you tell me you were doing that here. Don't know why I didn't come here earlier.

Leave it up to a "you-know-wot" to make a statement without any documentation!
I did, however, find the quote I think RD misunderstood.
Vancouver Sun Article
"Yann Sauve got hit by a car, almost killed."
I don't take that as his injuries were life threatening, there's nothing that states anything like that. Rather he was lucky the incident didn't kill him. He was taken to the hospital and released right away.
MORE DETAILS ON SAUVE'S ACCIDENT RELEASED
This is the car accident I recall, and the same as SC I thought it was a serious concussion but nothing life threatening.

Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13
by you telling me it was here, you would think I was smart enough to come here and hhmmmm it is about the wolves so where else would SC post stuff about the AHL and our prospects. I think it is the scotch that is affecting my brains, but I think Pot would say differentlyrats19 wrote:So how did u find it? Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13

Saturday March 9
AHL
Milwaukee 3 Chicago 2
Climie 27 saves on 29 shots
Ebbett, (11) (Archibald, Joslin)
Gordon, (15) (Ebbett, Haydar) (PP)
Shootout:
Juuso Puustinen Goal
Darren Haydar Goal
Matt Halischuk Goal
Michael Davies No
Taylor Beck No
Nicklas Jensen No
Daniel Bang Goal
Bill Sweatt No
Jensen played his first AHL game this season - I didn't watch, does anybody have a report of how he did?
ECHL
Toledo 3 Kalamazoo 5
Anthony 1 goal (3rd), +1
Grenier 1 goal (4th), 2 assists, +2 (selected 1st star)
Mallet 0 points, even
Myron 0 points, even
Rai did not play
Sauve 1 goal (8th), even
NCAA
ECAC Tournament
Colgate 1 St. Lawrence 4
Price 0 points, -1
The Raiders are eliminated, and Price's college career is over. I would think he has a pretty good chance at being offered an NHL contract - his right-handed shot will help him.
Maine 4 New Hampshire 4 (OT)
Hutton 2 assists, +2 (selected 2nd star)
St. Cloud State 2 Wisconsin 3
Labate 0 points, even
OHL
Belleville 2 Barrie 3 (OT)
Gaunce 0 points, even

Drafted 4th round, I wonder how much a player's value drops (if any)when they make it know they will be attending school for 4 years? The Raiders are eliminated, and Price's college career is over. I would think he has a pretty good chance at being offered an NHL contract - his right-handed shot will help him.
