Poetry Corner

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Addition: I supposed I should spend more time in the Bar and Grill, but only with certain threads do I like participating. I honestly LOVE the hockey forum these days. A lot of feed back. Although I don't post as much, it's always a good read these days, much of that I credit HW and her findings. :)

Leves was a boss that no one dared diss,
Had him an ass that wise men would kiss.
As old as the hills
He now gets his thrills
Shuffleboarding with Thinker and Chris.

Haven’t really visited the corner in the new year because doing so seems to have the effect of cuing up Auld Lang Syne (inside m'head like). Good song... until about the thousandth time. It’s all too spooky actually. About as spooky as Canuckmessageboardland has been of late what with all the QUIET. Perhaps if I made an offering to appease ghosts of posting past?

Cornering The Donald (or Show Yourself Donny, I Know You’re Lurking!)

Of all fuckin Nuck message board greats,
To e’er grace the lives of lowly ingrates,
Our Don was the don,
He glistened... he shone...
A beacon of light for the reprobates.
Tell the truth now Donny, these limericks helped lure you out of the shadows now didn't they? :mex:

Lurking was never meant for the likes of you big guy!

Wee Laddie Rumsfeld

A wee hooligan, out making the rounds,
He's stalking yo ass as a pack o' hounds.
On yo case,
In yo face,
Such audacity surely knows no bounds!

If there were a few more posters like wee laddie Rumsfeld, ie guys that don't let the Pom-Pom Squad bully them into obscurity for having a different opinion, maybe there'd currently be more than 10 regulars on the forums.

Kind of doubt it's a coincidence that membership dropping into the toilet has coincided with your silly Saint Jim troll crusade.

Traffic is down in every corner of Canuckdom.

It's called the Rebuild Effect.

Speaking of which, and back on topic...

Whingers

In trying times you’ll have yer whingers,
Yer doom-saying lunatic-fringers.
They panic you see,
When rebuilding you be,
They’re a lot like yer soulless gingers.

I'm sure the pee-pee squad will love that one. Just have to wait till a grown-up comes home to read it to them.

When a crappy English soccer team gets better, and the half empty stadium starts to sell out every game, the die-hard fans in the stands tend to point fingers at the fair weather fans in the seats and chant "where were you when we were shite?" I kind of like that sentiment. :look:

Die hard like our owned Blobby Mac. Paid $200 for tickets so he could post from the game when he could have got better from a scalper for a 10th of the price.

I wonder if he put down his cell phone to lead the cheer for the wave?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Die Hard

“I love our boys thro' thick ‘n thin!”
He said to his son with a grin.
Still waving his flag,
This self-loathing fag,
Cursed them all the while within.

Up to there with his jibber jabber?
It doesn’t smell sweet,
When you're up to your teat,
In his stinkin’ Killarney clabber!
