Henrik Lundquist returned home as the New York Rangers played a pre season game against his old team Frölunda and won 4-2. King Henrik received a standing ovation and had his name chanted by his old home crowd. His twin brother Joel plays for Frölunda, but did not score tonight.

Re: OOTS
Possibly, but he's had a charmed life anyway; he spent three seasons playing for Dallas (134 regular season and 25 playoff games), he was on the gold winning team at the 2006 world championships, he has won the Swedish championship twice and has captained Frölunda for the past four years. Sure, he's not the superstar his brother is, but he's still had a lot of success and made good money playing hockey.Aaronp18 wrote:They are identical twins aren't they?Per wrote: His twin brother Joel plays for Frölunda, but did not score tonight.
You think Joel ever wishes he would've been the goalie instead?
And he plays centre.
Ask any kid if they want to play centre or goal, and see what they tell you!

I'm very impressed with how intelligent his answers are.

Not very loud right now.mathonwy wrote:I gotta say, its REALLY good to see hockey back in the Peg.
The arena is jammed packed and loud as hell versus Atlanta which is a ghost town.
I'm pretty sure the players probably appreciate it as well.

Ouch, Winnipeg got thrashed.
Still a great day for the city... but I can't help wonder if some of the people that paid 2-3 grand for tickets aren't feeling a little buyers remorse right now.

Lipstick on a pig.
They are still the Thrashers, now with what looks to be, the Avro Aero on their chests.
The irony of Harper unveiling a coin in their honour can not be missed.

Re: OOTS
Thrashing their goaltending improves the odds of a goalie package in trade for Kane. However, the competion (to get Kane) could be tough. A lot of thrashing may be required.
Less Canucks embarrassment please.

Bland is a compliment. Suits the city perfectly.tantalum wrote:Got home from 2 weeks in France/Germany today and turned on the tV to watch the Jets. I've made my mind up that I don't like the home uniforms. They just don't pop at all. Very bland.
