And yes, this means you can contact the tax authorities and ask to see what your neighbour's taxes were. But you need to know the social security number, and they will charge you a minor fee for mailing you a copy. Still. So every year local papers will publish lists of the top ten richest people in your town, etc. Who cares? I mean unless you've been lying about your finances, what's the problem?
