Yeah, so?
Finally they got some of their own young kids performing like superstars. Made some good but expensive signings. Got some really good starting rotation. About time. But not good enough.
But the same old high budget teams buying playoff spots... again. Year after year. Same teams. Boring.

That AL East has to be one of the toughest divisions to win in sports, so many strong teamsMicky wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 5:51 pmJays didn't have a boring team this year. Those kids were a kick to watch. Came down to the last game.Carl Yagro wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 4:02 pm Jays officially out.
Same thing every year in the AL East. That's why baseball is boring.

Blue Jays had a great year playing all over the place and had a manager who was learning. Not sure he should be back. This was an exciting year for MLB

Friend of a friend is friends with Lenny. The stories he knows will curl your hair. Strawberry and Gooden were the epitome of talent wasted. I’m blown away by what little I know which I’m
sure is about .5 % …. That team was insane. Shitty thing is the way the players treated Gary Carter and Keith Hernandez when they didn’t participate in the garbage. You

Re: MLB playoffs
I honestly don't know man. Good on Tampa.
But look at the long history of the AL East. Dominated by big budget franchises. Roger's is too cheap to contend.
Sorry, but I'm sticking to this. Yankees/Bosox... boring.

Re: MLB playoffs
I like this iteration of the team. When they won I liked Carter, Molitor and big Dave. Hated Alomar, Gruber, etc. The current team is fun to watch.
Yankees need to clean some house. Did Gerritt beg out of that game? Grow a fucking heart man!
Anyone but the Dodgers or the RedSux

Re: MLB playoffs
Well Blob...the play in games went exactly how you planned eh?!
Braves Brewers
Dodgers Giants
Pale Hose Astros
Red Sox Ray's
....literally anyone could win.
And that's the way the playoffs should be.

Re: MLB playoffs
Go Braves, go Giants, go Astros, go Rays. Giants and Astros WS.
If you’d been told five years ago the Giants would be back as a real contender in 2021, one would think Mad Bum would be a huge part of the squad. How the mighty have fallen. Pitchers are voodoo. Gerrit Cole was a no show on Tuesday.

Well Blob, you got your wish as two of your most hated (if not the most hated) lost in the LCS's.
Looks like Morton vs. Valdez game 1.
Could be a pretty good series. I think the Astros win based on HFA but would prefer to see the Braves victorious for a few reasons.
1 - don't like Dusty Baker
2 - the Astros are scum and haven't yet been bitch slapped hard enough for their indiscretions
3 - a Braves win would seem apropos in the year Hank Aaron passed
