My Truck...

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

No, Chevy has a turbo 4cyl diesel available in their little truck but I think they are caught up in the chip shortage and won't be available in 2023. The Colorado/Canyon spec out very nicely as a small 4x4. Front and rear lockers, factory bumper will take a winch, but pricing is stupid and good luck finding one.

My '97 Hilux has a 2.8 litre 4cyl diesel, will do anything, just not quickly. I thought about importing it rather than buying another Tacoma.
I just can't go to the 4 cyl turbo injected anything - V6 at least FTW!
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Sources of electricity in France and Sweden.

We’re slowly phasing out nuclear; not building any new plants, but making use of the ones we have for now.
But at least it’s better than coal or oil.

Made my last payment in my Silverado now looking to step and buy a new one, sticking with the Silverado, I like them. Can’t fucking decide what package - The WT, LT, RST, Custom, crew cab or double cab, short box (5’-8” or 6’-10”). They don’t do V6 no more it’s either 4 cylinder, V6 or diesel. Apparently the 4 cylinder has a better towing capacity than the V6. Says people are opting for the 4 cylinder for fuel economy. I’m not a diesel red neck hillbilly like Topper and Rats. Says the the short box is more popular with the city contractors due to parking. The crew cab and long box is ridiculously long, could do double cab with long box. Can’t fucking decide. Seems like you can only get black or white trucks now. Product wait is ridiculous

If you tow anything do not get the 4 banger. Might be able to pull more with the turbo but you’ll be paying for it in fuel economy.

I have the diesel, not a redneck, but I tow and have a bunch of mammals that reside with me. Get better fuel economy in the 3500 than I did with my 1500 in and around Kelowna.

Plus the crew cab is huge. With backup cams these days parking is just as hard with a 1/2 ton as it is with a 1 ton. Driving Vancouver things could be a bit tighter though!

Also like the ride height of the 3500. Get to look down on the peons. Is that PC of me? 😜

Apparently you get more tow capacity with the 4 banger WITH TURBO. Not without from what I understand. The only reason I considered is I think these gas prices are here to stay. I’m a debonair city contractor, so towing is not my deal, looking good is as you never know when I have to hit up Gotham’s downtown for a designer/client luncheon. I don’t own quads or trailers like you hillbillies out in the hicks. Parking in Vancouver is a nightmare.

I mean the 4 with a turbo, it will tow but it’ll suck more gas doing it that the diesel.

They actually have a 3.0L turbo diesel in the 1/2 ton now. Could be a good option!

This new gig I have comes with a brand new Chevy Colorado crew/longish box. If you are looking at mid sized trucks then give it a roll. Seems to be pretty well made
