My Truck...

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Just got my truck written off last week.

Hail damage. :) We got $1100 and get to keep the truck! 296,000 miles on it - can't wait to roll it over 300k.

Should have it mid-October. Likely around the 20th or so.

No, its stuck in Richmond. Today or tomorrow hopefully, really tired of this rental Jetta!

I'm sure you get a great shadow, especially with the longer cab on the 2016.

I had a rental jetta for a couple of days aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. Can you adjust the steering wheel to a somewhat comfortable driving position and still see the gauges?

No. And it dings at me every time I hit 50 km/h, I don't know why and can't figure out how to shut it off.

It's a fucking stupid car. I should've taken the Camry.

Picked up the truck Saturday. Had them install the roof rack and gimme a bed liner.

Also took the TRD logos off the side, looks much cleaner without them.

I like the new 3.5L, I can lay off the gas and get some decent fuel economy but it does have the HP when you want or need it! The interior is a refreshing change, they've finally brought it into this century. Entune is easy to use. Kinda wish I had something other than an iPhone to utilize the Qi charger, but not that big of a deal. I've also ordered a tri-folding tonneau for the back so I can keep my hockey gear (and other shit) relatively dry.

Cool, I'll be interested to hear more about that motor especially if you recall much about the power/economy (LOL) of the 4L Taco you used to have.

Does that have the same composite box of the previous generation? Slippery stuff that I can't imagine without a bed mat.

Better call Motor vehicle as someone has been messing with your front plate.

Definitely better than the economy of the 4.0L, I'll be getting about 650km to my first tank ~14 L/100km (16.8 mpg). And from what I've read it tends to get better when you get used to the transmission and shift points and put some more mileage on. To me the power is pretty similar, but it has been a while since I drove the 2 Gen. Though my coworker has a 2015 and he noticed a difference when we went for a ride.

Same composite box which is why I insisted on the bed mat, it really should come standard!

Nothin like my mad MS Paint skillz to blockk my plate number. haha
