A classic - I spent a LOT of time there in the early 90s. A lot of laughs in that place. Fun place, cheap beer. All good things must come to an end.
Buck a pint back then in there. I can still smell the piss stench from those nasty shitters. It was alright for prechugging before heading over to the skank bars to try and drag a piece of fluff out later
My fave was the eldorado though. It was halfway home from work so used to ride out the kingsway rush hour there

They would have my beer on ice by 5 o'clock Friday - and then the liver got pounded. If we weren't too pissed, it was over to the Lamplighter. Or a walk back to Kits.

The lamplighter was a decent skank bar and a short stumble from the cambie Ho. Then cab over to club soda or the metro. Fuck ya

Well, you know why Sinclair backed down, don't you?
When the teams met at Algarve Cup earlier this year, Hedvig Lindahl saved Sinclair's penalty shot.
But no worries. She had studied videos of the seven Canadian players most likely to take a penalty shot, so she knew Exactly what to expect from Beckie as well.
Pretty good penalty shot though; just inside the post and at the ground.
But an even better save. Unbelievable. And very important.
Oh, and in case you didn't notice, yesterday the Swedish girls beat Germany as well.
They are doing pretty well.
