It's getting warm

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

As long as THESE 11000 scientists arent the mickey mouse variety.... it suggests I was right Per.

Waaaaay too many fuckin people and all the hadjis that insist on their 11+ rat breeding colonies are a huge part of the problem

... but then I guess the economic benefits are there for all to see as well:
McDougall said the goal is to get passengers on Harbour Air electric flights within two years.

The operating costs are between 50 and 80 per cent lower than combustion engines and ultimately, that will mean lower ticket prices for passengers, he said.

BIL Sweden, the Swedish trade association for manufacturers and importers of cars, trucks and buses, believe 80% of all sold cars in 2030 will be electric.

Who would have imagined that Greta is a Ray Wyllie Hubbard.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

From that article:
The world is now nearly one degree Celsius warmer than it was before widespread industrialisation, according to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

The 20 warmest years on record have all occurred in the past 22 years, with the years from 2015-2018 making up the top four.
We won't have a white christmas this year.

That's unreal. :wow:

Faux News never fails to deliver!

The train she was on from Basel had problems and was taken out of use in Offenbach. They then were transferred to another train that was already fully booked, and thus had no seats available. They switched trains in Frankfurt, but still had to sit on the floor till they reached Göttingen, which is when she got a first class seat for the remainder of the journey. The tweet was made before she got that seat.

This confirmed by a journalist from Dagens Nyheter who made the same trip and also had to sit on the floor for most of it.
And as Greta said; that the trains are fully packed is actually good news.

But of course, it is more fun to try to discredit people who are speaking truth to power.

The EU is toying around with the idea of a carbon tax on imports from countries that do not adhere to the Paris Agreement or implement a carbon tax at home.

This would protect European companies from unfair competition from price-dumping countries that do not take climate change seriously.
