NFL Thread: Thoughts on the game south of the 49th

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Odell Beckhams catch - fukin sick....the highlights of him practicing those types of catches was something to see as were his grabs in a Tiger uni...he and Cruz could give D coordinators fits for a few years

Hawks had a leadership group of 10 meet face to face with HCPC this week behind closed doors to address team "issues" (I doubt Toppers critiques of #1QBRW was on the itinerary)....apparently the D listenened....tough luck for Arians and the Cards....no Palmer and Fitzgerald the D can only do so much

Jeff Fisher quietly building a fiery competitive D in St. Loo...no QB tho

Same with Philbin in Florida..that team fights until the end

Thursdays menu looks pretty good...first game meh but the last two s/b good games

Patriots at Lambeau this weekend...a precursor of the SB perhaps

...and herbs Saints with a big game tonight agaisnt a tough team with a solid D...interesting game to say the least and a big one for Payton, Brees and the lads

DangRunt's issues are not leadership. Still, the defence gave him the ball four times in the Arizona end of the field and all he could generate was three field goals. Worst was starting on the Arizona 24 and he managed a 2 yard drive. Two passes batted down in the first quarter. The guy can't see over the line.

Turning point of the game was Jaron Browns endzone drop of a pass that hit him in the gut. Would have been 9-7 not 9-3.

...just to be clear I am not debating the QBRW issue with you.

I mean clearly leadership isn't on his shortcomings list. I get it.

Just using your characterizations as fodder for my posts on the team.

Yeah I got that.

A friend who is also a Seahawks fans believes DangRunt can do no wrong and this morning brought up the community service he does.

I asked about Mars Hill..........silence.

My friend also questioned Beckham's "gloved" catch. Apparently his hands are bigger than Megatrons, do you think that helped him get laid last night?

Maybe Wilson could take over the church.

Beckhams hands are indeed huge.

Heard him interviewed after the game, was not interested in any accolades for the catch, just pissed they did not win.

Good attitude to have for a young player.

As many sparkling catches as he made at LSU he also had a number of drops on easy plays.

No annointing (thanks Bill) yet but kids could be a good one.

I recall Beckham's reaction to a drop vs the Seahawks. Not a happy lad with himself.

The Saints are Jeckyl & Hyde with at like three other variants.

Will Prime Time Brees & Payton show up? You know, the guys who clobbered Green Bay a few weeks ago? Or will Sunday Afternoon Brees & Payton show up? (the guys who eeked out a win at home against Minny)

It's almost embarrassing that if they win tonight they'll sit atop the NFC south alone.

I thought the Boys were going to blow a game late like NOLA loves to do, but thankfully for Donny they pulled through. Brees would have thrown a pick six on that last drive. Dez Bryant is a hell of a player.

...Dez is a helluva player as is Murray. A real physical back who can run inside or outside.

He'll break down sooner than later but such is life in the show.

The key to the Cowboys is the O line.

Still a work in progress but they could be a great one (a la the '90's teams).

The D will kill this team in the end.

Just not good enough in to many places.

Although Rolando McLain appears to finally be headed in the right direction.

No one mentioned it during the broadcast but that was a helluva play he made on the Giant 4th down to end the game.

Q - What does a Jets fan do after a team win?

A - Turns off the X - Box.

Just
End
The
Season

God are they bad. Off a bye, a road game at a neutral site, the Bills hadn't practiced until Friday??!!

The end of Michael Vicks run as an NFL QB?

Rex will be back to what he should be doing somewhere next year.

And the turtle derby in the NFC South continues.

Yeah I had read that article (or one similar to it) on Tyron elsewhere previously.

Likely safe to assume a not to uncommon phenomenon with respect to the "nouveau riche" NFL'ers (or whatever sport presumably).

At least Manziels hangers on will punch someone upside the head for their pay....
